All the staff were very knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough for you. All the food was excellent quality and would highly recommend going to the restaurant for dinner - the drinks were expertly served, and the food was some of the best meals we’ve ever had! Perfect setting for a relaxing and reset away.

Lovely, comfortable and clean room with beautiful décor. It seemed like every detail had been thought of. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Perfect location. Half way between the town centre and the lake so a very short walk to both.

The room we stayed in was incredibly warm but this could have been the time of year. Thankfully there was a large fan provided and we could open the patio doors to allow it to cool down. Also it is situated on quite a busy road. As mentioned before the staff were very friendly but one day at breakfast we could hear a few of the staff talking loudly in the kitchen and there was some loud swearing which was not very professional.

Charming old setting and beautiful lawn area.

The property is in the middle of a triangle road system which is becoming busier during the summer rush, so vehicle noise does become evident at times. Also I wish there could be some flexibility in check out times. The staff insisted we leave room at 11am when we only arrived the previous evening. Considering check in times are 3pm this gives them plenty of time for cleaning for next guests.

Excellent location on edge of Ambleside - 7 minutes walk to town centre. Beautiful gardens. Excellent service, very comfortable.

The only complaint I had was that the walk in shower had no handrails which was difficult for someone with limited mobility.

The staff were excellent. The location is very good and the gardens and seating area outside are lovely.

It was extremely hot whilst we were there so a fan in the room to get some air movement would have been helpful for sleeping.
