I friend who has an art gallery almost in front of this hotel recommended me... and what a pleasant surprise. Very charming decor, friend and very helpful staff, very nice local breakfast, nice and comfortable room... nothing fancy, but with good taste and with the old original decor in this beautiful very old house. It is well located... very close to San Francis Church, from the Cathedral, from the hear of the historical center of Salvador, called Pelourinho, one of my favorite places in this magical city. I really enjoyed my stay and I do recommend. Have a great time in Salvador de Bahia, as they say it.

The hotel is nice, even though it's a bit run down. Nice room and bathroom, but problems with the lock, the safe and the shower. The owner is friendly, but he wouldn't fix my reservation problem (got charged for 2 even though I am alone). He said to take it with Bookings.com. Finally, as mentioned by other reviewers, the staff are very nice, very friendly and very helpful, particularly Jucimar. Just for that, and the location, of course, I would come back.

Our room at this pousada was lovely and had a beautiful rooftop terrace! The breakfast was good and the location extremely central! But our stay was made extra special by Jucimar at reception, who was so helpful, kind and generous and helped us enjoy Salvador at its best! :) Would definitely recommend!

Beautifull , magical , artistic and charming place. Very well decorated and peacefull energy.Even you are in the middle of PELOURINHO, you feel like in the middle of somewhere else So you have a peacefull place in the middle of the noice and loud music as well. Very good breakfast . We visited Brazil for the end of the World Cup (for the atmosphere). Travelled to a few places on the coast, including Copacabana, Rio (disapointing) ended up in Bahia, Salvador. So glad we found this place. Jucimar on reception was brilliant and the owner was lovely! The pousada was quirky, clean and lovely breakfast! Everything you need.

Best location in Pelourinho, charming interior, nice rooms and kind people. If you are looking for the best guide in town, ask for Jucimar. Thumbs up! Have been there several times and are looking forward to come back. Best cost/benefit-ratio ...

You just have to stay here during your visit in Salvador. Jucimar (the guy at the reception) knows all the right contacts and all the right places to go. Don't hesitate to ask him about anything you are wondering.

The pousada (bed & breakfast) is in the center of Pelourinho e everything happens around there. View from my room was breathtaking... The guy on front desk (his name is Jucimar) is awesome and has lots of good tips about what to do in Salvador. I am looking foward to go there again next summer...

A small Pousada with a nice ambience and very helpful staff. The rooms are fine if you are looking for location, convenience and experience over a great room. The are basic but comfortable enough and clean. You first step out of the Pousada is onto the cobbles and into the central areas of the Pelo. We were there for the World Cup and it was only a 10 minute stroll to the stadium too.

Pretty nice room - rustic, artistic older building. Great location, close to the Pelo. Fine breakfast. Staff was helpful, ok with English.
