Diamonds Athuruga island resort is located in the South Ari Atoll and is easily accessible by seaplane. Transfers are operated by Trans Maldivian Airways from Male International Airport, with a flight duration of approximately 25-30 minutes. Please note that a surcharge applies for this service. Season 1 (16 Apr 2026 – 31 Oct 2026) - Adult (age 12 and above): USD 560 roundtrip - Child (age below 12): USD 280 roundtrip - Infant (under 2 years): Complimentary (no seat provided) Season 2 (01 Nov 2026 – 15 Apr 2027) - Adult (age 12 and above): USD 590 roundtrip - Child (age below 12): USD 295 roundtrip - Infant (under 2 years): Complimentary (no seat provided) Seaplane transfers typically operate from sunrise to sunset, which is approximately 7 AM to 3:30 PM Male City time. in order to organize the seaplane transfer, guests must provide their flight details to the property at least 72 hours prior to their expected arrival to email info.diamondsathuruga@planhotel.com The free baggage allowance is 20 kg, plus 5 kg for hand luggage, per person. The carrier will transport excess baggage subject to payload availability at a cost of USD 5.00 plus applicable taxes per kg. Carrier does not guarantee the baggage on the same flight as the passenger. Also subject to payload availability. Our Airport Representatives will then escort to the check-in counter for seaplane transfer and assist with the check-in process. Once the check-in formalities are finished, will be transferred to the seaplane terminal, only a short 5 minutes away. A deposit may be required at the property.

It is one of the most amazing places where I have ever stayed. Everyone is very friendly, bungalos are great- we even got free upgrade for 1 night in water villa, food is very delicious, especially Maldivian food, there is a small shop, where you can find all necessary items, hotel is providing various excursions, there are a lot of water activity equipment- so, book at least 10 nights (we were only 6 and it was little short for us) and you will not regret it!

Spacious water villa with astonishing view. Excellent house reef. Extremely friendly staff. Tasty food. Excursions.

Occasional bad smell of the lagoon. Little privacy on the terrace of the water villa since there are no fences/walls between neighbouring villas, and curtains are transparent.

● There was no room service ● buffet every day just one choice ( fish beef or chicken ) just one of them and u can't change or other something else

So facilities Dive Centre was full for 2 days , Spa full for 2 days / Dive centre people was rude and dont want to work ● i left the hotel from the 2nd day and lost what i paid for, and I lost my time there as well

Athuruga is small chilled island with low key entertainment, a great house reef and good food. Staff are always friendly and helpful, service is exceptional (especially Nizam who is unflappable in his professionalism!) I also loved the whitewashed rooms, giving a sense of brightness and airiness in the heat! The look and feel of the island is exceptional, it ticked all my boxes!
