This historic inn has charm everywhere! The claw-foot bathtub in our suite was amazing. The detailed touches could be found everywhere. We truly enjoyed our stay. We had the suite with pullout couch for our children, and it was perfect.

"First class stop over"

Stayed overnight to meet up with family had room 8 which was fabulous comfy bed and lovely bathroom with huge walk in shower.. booked in for dinner in the restaurant.. which was delicious too .. enjoyed the continental breakfast before we checked out ... again loads of choice .. a great short break!!

"A step back in time."

We had the only suite in the hotel - it was superb as was the price. Breakfast was excellent. Car parking could be a problem.

The hotel seemed to be short of staff in the dining room. The food was very good but slow coming. The staff were friendly. Our room was upstairs and the stairs are short so careful climbing. The room was well equipped and even had wash cloths (which you don’t often get in England). The bar was great with reasonable prices. Will return.

"Pre Christmas get away"

We had a lovely relaxing 2 night stay. Our room was clean, cosy and warm. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding top quality. It was our anniversary and we were provided with a complementary glass of sparkling wine each which was a nice touch. The restaurant staff were attentive and friendly. The only negative to our stay was checking in. The receptionist was obviously tired and it felt like we were a bother to her.
