The Lamb Inn

Loved the history, the breakfast, the staff, the countryside. Enjoyed the friendly atmosphere.

I found the small staircases were a low for my tall other half and he had to take care not to hit his head. The bedrooms were comfortable but no towel rail in bathroom.

Beautiful location and hotel. Rooms very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Amazing dinner.

Everything was perfect.

We were room-only as we were attending a function nearby. The room, in the stables (No.11) was "cosy" but adequate. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was well-equipped and spotlessly clean. Good pillows and towels. We got back from the 'do' quite late and although the bar was almost closed, the extremely personable bar staff served us a night cap, which was very much appreciated! All members of staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast looked lovely as well, but sadly we could not stay. We will go back!

The one window in the room had a black-out blind to cover it. Unfortunately, as anyone with blinds knows, there is always a shaft of light either side of it. As we're in Summer, this meant I was awake at 4.30am with bright sunlight, which was not the best start to the day.

We stayed in the garden room with our yellow lab, it was spacious, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the chef was ill so we went elsewhere for food in the evening. Breakfast was amazing , fresh bread, best ham and the softest croissant I’ve ever had. Staff were all lovely and a credit to the place. Well done the lamb inn I hope to return next year !

Lovely old inn fabulous staff shout out to Dee who was lovely. The chef is great you have to try the shepherds pie it’s amazing.

Very quiet peaceful location with plenty of villages nearby

Beautiful property with views over the garden from our room. Central location to all the areas we wanted to visit.
