Shogetsu Grand Hotel

Very nice and private hotel, clean and lovely room facing the river. The onsen was very nice and comfortable. not crowded at all since i believe only guests were allowed in. Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Maybe strange to some others but to us the food even though served to your table and presented immaculately, the taste was not as good as we expected. The price of the hotel is high and did not reflect as much on the Value perceived.

Special thanks to the reception for helping to retrieve my wallet which was left in the shuttle bus. We had a relaxing stay at the hotel.

Centralized location. Good breakfast.

The two older guys at the front desk were extremely rude, both at check in and check out. Did not make any attempt to hide their distain for non-Japanese speakers. They were all smiles for the Japanese family who checked in ahead of us. When it was our turn, the older guy’s whole demeanor changed upon seeing our foreign (American) passports. Was very cold and hard to work with. Did not even show us to the elevator, like they did for the prior family. Very bad experience at check in and check out!

The facility was beautiful. We could see the fantastic gorge from our room; even see the steam coming out of the hot springs. Indoor/outdoor springs were spacious and clean

Great Onsen, honey buffet is special

ホテルは改装されたようだ　以前の旅館感覚よりモダン　フロントは全く以前と違う　部屋はベットにしたせいか小さい感じた。10月中旬エアコンはヒーターだけらしい。暑く朝2時に窓を開けたお風呂は以前と同じだ露天風呂はいい　6階ラウンジのサービスもいい

お部屋も綺麗でご飯も美味しくいただきました。 なかなかできないはちみつの食べ比べが面白かったです。
