Quality Hotel Parklake Shepparton

The property is superbly located right in the centre of town, making everything an easy walk. We really enjoyed the park across the road, and the parking was both convenient and secure. The room was clean and spacious for a family of four, the beds were comfortable, and all the key room amenities were great. The bathroom and shower were spotless. The accommodation perfectly matched the photos and description on Booking.com.

Our initial impression of the accommodation was completely ruined by one particular receptionist who, unprovoked and for no apparent reason, gave us serious attitude during check in. It made us feel extremely unwelcome. The whole process felt rushed and the receptionist was blatantly rude. The other factor that made the stay unenjoyable was a vulgar and noisy group occupying a few rooms around us, including the one directly above. While perhaps not entirely in the direct control of the accommodation, I would like to think management applies some level of quality control to ensure guests are not disruptive and behave respectfully. This particular group constantly hung around the front of the hotel, shouting at each other and frequently using profanities. This might have been somewhat tolerable during the day, but they kept it up while we were trying to get the kids to sleep, making noise from around 9 pm until just past midnight. It cut our sleep short and made the whole experience incredibly frustrating. Given how uncomfortable the receptionist made us feel upon arrival, I decided not to bother providing this feedback directly at check out.

Was an exceptional stay. Got upgraded and the room was certainly nice and relaxing especially after a long days drive. Staff were great and went beyond expectation. Loved my stay, breakfast was amazing 🤩
