Joaquin's Bed and Breakfast

The view from the rooms of Joaquin's B&B were the best part of this B&B, high up in Tagaytay overlooking Taal Lake and Taal Volcano. It's also cooler up there. The room was adequate, with mosquito netting for the bed which wasn't needed in early April, fortunately. Unfortunately the breakfast was nothing special but maybe that's because we only chose the American-style fixed menu. Free wifi is only available near the lobby, which is one or two stories above your room.

Our trip was on a busy holy week break, traffick was really horrible. Going around outside the hotel is really not a good idea. Good thing staying inside our room, having our own mini garden and a view of the lake is enough to be spared from the stress and hassles of the traffick outside. The food is great! The staff are very accomodating and very helpful. Our room is so big, though the bathroom is small, it'll be better if it's bigger. And it'll be so nice if our room has free wifi. But overall we enjoyed our stay and definetely be back again.

Paid an arm and a leg for this place and they did not have wifi in the rooms as advertised on expedia. This caused us immense trouble. Not to mention their rooms had poor phone reception as well so accessing our data was a big problem. Breakfast was decent. Foul smell coming out from bathroom. Staff were inattentive and daydreaming. Scheduled 9am breakfast but by 915am nobody was to be found anywhere so I had to ring the bell. Awful experience, we will never trust expedia and their reviews.

Spend the new year here to avoid the noise in the city. Rooms are super clean and smells nice. Excellent view of the Taal Volcano. Breakfast tastes very good. No wifi in rooms though. Overall it's good and we'll come back again.

breakfast attendants should be available early. Service attendants can be more personable (with uniform, etc.) Also no internet in the room and signal in other areas not so good. Quite pricey for the quality of service and facilities.

Generally ok. Rustic and homey feel. Breakfast was typical. Not much choices for breakfast. Needs to add more food choices for lunch and dinner. Need to add more amenities and services.

Very nice and cozy place to stay. Great place to have bonding moment with your special someone.

I stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights. I booked a room with the mini garden and its not disappointing. It was exactly like the pictures and I really feel home in this room. :) perfect view of the Taal Lake and Volcano. The room was clean and the hotel was too. The food is good and had big servings, well atleast for my stomach. The location of the hotel was quite hard to find especially if you're from Nasugbu. I didn't pay anything except the accomodation.
