Whispering Palms Inn

clean and cool. Owner/manager turned on the AC before we arrived so it was cool. That was a nice touch!

If there was a little fenced area for dogs that would be really nice. We walked across the street to some grass but that is a little scary to walk in a town you don't know in your pajamas across the street to let your dog pee. so a little area for them would be nice.

Very hospitable, helpful and friendly owner, easy parking, reasonable breakfast very good rate.

No coffee in the room

The outdoor pool was moldy and dirty. Since the temperature was about 90 F, we expected the pool to be ready for use. The breakfast was somewhat disappointing since it was just waffles and boiled eggs. However, we would still recommend Whispering Palms but the owners could improve the two issues described above.

I loved that the hotel was run by the owners. They were there to help with any issues I had. They do a good job keeping it clean.

Very quiet and safe hotel. The service was great. I recommend it for your visit to Del Rio.

Great welcome from the owners who were friendly and couldn’t do more for their guests. The location is fine although a bit of a walk downtown. However, parking was not a problem downtown.

It would have been nice to have coffee facilities in the room but it is just a short walk to the lobby to get some. Body lotion would have been a welcome addition to the toiletries provided.

The room was clean and comfortable. Del Rio is a noisy city, and the hotel's shape created a little quiet oasis. The owners were very friendly.

We toured all over Texas and this was the best motel breakfast we got! Also the shower was really enjoyable.

The hotel is located in an area with lots of restaurants. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and gave us a great room. The room was spacious and clean. We weren’t there much but it met our needs perfectly. If we ever go to Del Rio again, we would stay there.

Decent motel on the main street in Del Rio. While the hotel got a lot of very good reviews, in the end, the rooms are okay but very old and small and with the parking in the court yard it can be noisy at night. Staff at check in wasn't helpful at all and didn't respond to any of my quite general questions about the hotel, didn't even inform us about breakfast being included.
