Golden Lotus Hotel

You've come to one of the most beautiful parts of Vietnam with some of the most romantic beaches around. Don't sell yourself short by staying at a place like this. At first glance, this hotel was okay but things got worse the more nights we stayed. The door knob to our bathroom door came off. Our faucet began to leak. The AC takes a good 10-15 mins to fill up the room so we left it on when we would go out. This is so we could come back feeling refreshed... find out the staff would come in when we're gone to turn it off each time. Very stingy with their AC. If we are willing to pay for comfort, why would you turn it off each time!!! My girlfriend had her hair dyed a few weeks before the trip so some of the hair color came off on the pillow case. They tried to make us pay for it which I felt was ridiculous but luckily we had friends who are Vietnamese and talked them out of it. There are plenty of fantastic hotels in Nha Trang that are $20 or cheaper a night so I advise you to keep searching!

I think maybe i was in another hotel to the people writing good and honest reviews...The hotel did not look like the pictures when I made my reservation. Morning breakfast please, no sorry we know you have paid but there's no breakfast today?? Unfriendly staff refused to return passport until we paid and checked out. Dirty bed sheets, smelly bathrooms, damp walls... Please don't bother.

I really don't recommend that hotel to anybody. We stayed 1 night and it was one of the worst since the last 10 months travelling arround the world. Very extremely bad service. We'be been waked up by people working in the hotel, with very loud banging in the wall during more than 3 hours and half, starting at 7h30 am. I get down to ask them what was that, and they had no understandable answer, 10 minutes later a staff come up to our room and opened the locked to put some drinks in our fridge even if we said no, she saids it was for next guest coming after us. We also ask to get our passport back and they refused, it is illegal to do that. The woman at the reception faked to be sorry, they finally accept to make a very small discount, but it was so small that it doesn't change anything.

Room was clean and spacious, staff was helpful and friendly. Overall a nice time staying at this hotel. We were allocated a room which sleeps 6 for the five of us, hence plenty of room. Though the room was not beach facing, there were 2 large windows that opens to the view of the mountain. We could hardly hear traffic noise from where we were.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel from 29 June to 2 July, 2013. It's easy to take reservation via telephone. Ms Huyen from Front Office Dept handled my reservation. Deluxe twin room (with 2 huge beds) is only 35USD per room per night (without breakfast). *Advantages: -It is located on Tran Phu Street (beach street) and facing to beach area. It takes only 2 minutes by walking then you can reach to the beach. -Facilities in the room are not new and trendy but at least the room is clean and small balcony to get sea view easily (if you request high floor with receptionists). -It takes 10 minutes to the heart of Nha Trang City by taxi (probably 2USD). *Disadvantages: -Staffs can not speak English well, it's really difficult in verbal communication and their performances are so so! -Bath-towel and face-towel are not soft. Overall, I did enjoyed my stay at Golden Lotus!

Overall a bad experience Formic everywhere, old worn-out towels and sheets with stains. Frivolous personnel. Too far from downtown In addition to a major highway

We requested a room overlooking the ocean (we were on our honeymoon and had waited 23 years for this opportunity) instead we ended up with a very small room at the back of the hotel with 1 window 600 x 600mm with bars over it. It was supposed to be an eco hotel, but they forgot to inform the guests the water gets turned off every night and if you are up early there is no water only a dribble for a shower. The staff (except the cleaners) are really quite rude and indifferent (they cater mostly for the chinese customers) We were horrified to say the least, any complaint was met with we don't understand! Never have I experienced such a dreadful hotel.

The hotel did not look like the pictures when wee ordered it. The pictures showet small houses, but it was just one buling. A lot or insects in the bed - hotel tried to just clean the bed, but we insisted to have a new room. The next morning the breakfast restaurant was closed, again after insisting we Got 3 $ to but breakfast (2 pax). The mood of the staff was not friendly. Staff insisted to keep our passport till we checked out. When checkning out the staff had difficulty to find the Keys to the safe, so we had to wair - but Got our passports after a fem minutes.

This hotel is located a block away from the beach. The rooms are very clean and neat. One of the main advantages of this hotel is that it is on a small street with little noise and therefore you will sleep well.It is close to a number of nice restaurants and diving shops. Staff is friendly and helpful. I recommend it for budget travelers.

Away from the main tourist hub so quiet however the staff were not very helpful. Good view from the rooms and for the price it was ok.
