Banbridge Inn

In a nutshell, My husband and I will never - and I mean never be returning customers.

For our first visit to PEI, this motel was a good place to stay. We explored the eastern side one day and the western side the next day. Our inn keeper was extremely helpful with providing information and maps. Even though the motel is located in a commercial area, it was quiet and easily accessible by car to the center of Charlottetown.

We were 3 miles from town, but very convenient. Were able to pick up groceries ezsily and prepare 2 meals a day which was a big savings. The room was clean and spacious simply furnished but very nice.

This hotel is close to a lot of things. Having never been to PEI before I assumed staying in Charlottetown was easiest, and to a degree it was. Downtown Charlottetown was disappointing, though. The rest of the island was much more interesting and beautiful, particularly the provincial and national parks, and Stanhope.

This hotel was somewhat outdated. The rooms and bathroom were acceptable but certainly outdated and not anything to write home about. The location was also just ok - about a 10 min drive from Charlottetown. The front office also did not open before 9am and no instructions were given or posted as to how to check out and return keys before 9am. We left the keys in the mailbox in front of the office. Overpriced for what it was and would not recommend.

The Banbridge Inn is an affordable place to stay for a true PEI experience. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was bright white and spotless, and Shawn and Gail, the innkeepers, were helpful and welcoming. I'm really pleased that I was able to able to patronize a local business and not stay in the soulless (though fine, I'm sure) chain hotel across the street. While the Inn doesn't serve breakfast, there is a room always open with ice, coffee/tea supplies and snacks like fruit, yogurt, and granola bars. It is 10-15 min away from the airport, and maybe 20 min to the Charlottetown waterfront. PEI is such a wonderful place to visit, and the Banbridge Inn is a gem.

Inn is on a busy commercial street, but traffic is light and downtown is only a short drive away. Owners are very friendly and helpful.

We had a very warm welcome and the owners, Sean and Gail, were extremely helpful and friendly. The site was pleasant and had a large lawned area with easy chairs, picnic tables, a barbecue and even a croquet lawn! There was plenty of parking and the room was airy and clean with comfortable beds. The location was quiet, about 10 minutes drive from Downtown Charlottetown, but with some shops and fast food outlets nearby and on a main road so it was easy to find. We walked to town but there is a bus service and a taxi from town cost us about ten dollars. We found this a comfortable base for sightseeing and driving round the island. We would recommend this Inn to anyone staying in this area.

Loved the hotel! Lots of room (living room, kitchen & dining, bedroom and bathroom) to spread out and feel comfortable. Owner was the one who checked us in and was kind and willing to offer help and suggestions of what to do and see.
