Killin Hotel

Staff were welcoming, very friendly and helpful. Room was good. Breakfast options varied between freshly cooked (always available) and buffet style when large group were in residence. Dinner menu was good - Sunday roast was excellent! Trio of salmon starter recommended and I enjoyed a very tasty beefburger, amongst other things. Killin is well placed as a hillwalking base and the Falls of Dochart never disappoint.

Riverview Restaurant could be rather dazzling in bright evening sunshine, but this wasn't a major problem. An extension lead to facilitate plugging in the room kettle would have been useful.

Extremely poor accommodation in annex room 5, not fit for purpose. Noise of people walking around above late into the night. Kitchen extractor fan in morning waking us up at 5 .30. Room stunk of air freshener upin arrival choking us and our dog. Gap around door. Could see daylight all around. Beds moving all around the room, so moved them against the wall, flithy floors. Bitten during the night. Toilet cracked and sink large crack. Reported tgese issues to receptionist who offered no compensation acted like this is the first time she has heard of these issues, having now read previous reviews dating back. This is an ongoing issue. This hotel is owned by a chain. A very friendly Indian family were running the hotel with some lovely cars parked outside, perhaps some money should be spent on the hotel. Dined in the hotel for the evening, extremely loud, o quiet. room to escape to after. We had our well.Behaved dog with us, however their was a very ill.Behaved barking dog in bar area which was allowed to stay and continued to bark at everyone and everything. It should along with owner been told to leave.Having stayed in many hotels with our dog this was extremely below par

Breadfast, dinner & housekeeping : Service was very friendly and efficient. Food was very good. The bizarre mirror in the bathroom, like a portal to another world!

Vegetarian options could have been much more varied, with less emphasis on fried stuff.

We stayed in the annex this time. It was very cosy and comfortable

Needs a shelf in the toilet and shower room

The staff were lovely, the breakfast was amazing and the room was great too. They put some treats and a bed in the room for our dog which made us feel even more welcomed. Thank you

Comortable, clean accommodation. Perfect location with super views over the river and hills from the terrace
