Hillcrest Motel

Very clean and fully equipped. No air conditioning and the windows opened on an enclosed porch (but there were two fans)

This is a small sleeping quarter dubbed as motel which prides itself with pleasing photo ad of their rooms. But the nice things about it stops right there - the photos. The staff that answered the buzzer when we walked in to check in first demanded payment but we insisted on seeing the room first. There was no airconditiioning inspite of a 30 degree celcius temperature outside. The two double beds that they claimed to be suitable for 4 adults are pretty small for us. The carpets need a serious cleaning and the room is really crammed. It looks like they have space for 3 vehicles at most. We have to back out and looked for another place to stay. Beware and stay as far as possible from this tourist trap.

Hotel desk lobby not nice. room given was around back with no view. Went back asked for refund and was given their top room with kitchen at no extra charge. Smelled like bug killer spray. Wifi not working. No air conditioning. Would not recommend this to anyone for the price.

Perfect spot to stop for the night on the way to the US. Clean and comfortable!

Nice hotel. Older but well maintained, very clean and cozy, nice and bright with windows on both ends, and a great view of the ocean.

Very average. Family-owned motel that is okay, but nothing special.

No toilet paper was a bit of a downer but we did get it rectified quickly.

Non smoking room, vague smell of old smoke, not enough to be unpleasant but noticeable. This is an economy motel and suited an overnight stay, outdated but clean, very comfortable bed so a good night’s sleep. Despite being close to the road, surprisingly quiet. Away from city noise but easy access to amenities.

Clean enough but some effort could be made to update the place. It is extremely tired and might be more attractive to people with something as simple as a paint job. Also it is pretty noisy on both sides of the building

This Motel was perfect for our purposes. We just needed a place to sleep before we continued our road trip. The room was large enough for our 5-person family. It was also relatively clean, however although it says it is a non-smoking room we did smell some traces of smoke. Not sure if people are not obeying the rules or if smoke is coming from other rooms in the building.
