Western Sydney University Village- Parramatta Campus

I wouldn't stay here again if I could afford to stay elsewhere, but from my searching for the particular dates I needed to stay in Parramatta there didn't seem to be anything else at this price range. You share living area, kitchen and bathrooms between guests in about 7 other rooms. The room just consists of an old single bed, desk and shelving (no coat hangers.) There must have been another guest smoking in the rooms, or just outside the windows when I stayed there and the whole place stank of cigarettes (not good for a pregnant asthmatic!) The walls in the bedroom were visible dirty. The whole place needs a good scrub and new mattresses to say the least.

There was a smoker in the room next to me. Vanity basin was clogged Rubbish bin in Kitchen over flowing for 2 days Noisy My room was entered when I was at an event even though door was locked.

Too many issues faced and the staff weren't helpful and/or didn't provide the basics - 1. No iron in the apartment - when questioned they declined to provide one 2. Kitchen not equipped well, no pans, etc. 3. Ageing and dilapidated apartment 4. Very noisy with noisy & partying residents with security never in sight 5. Wanted to check out earlier but was informed I won't get refund for the days I don't stay there!!! Bad place in general and quite run down.

Reception unhelpful. Room not ready 15 minutes before official check in time. Does not say that you have to share bathroom with 5 other guests. Smoking not allowed outdoor within the campus. Shared kitchen facility with one mug and two glasses to be shared with 5 other inmates. Can't walk outdoor as waste water running on footpath. Shopping and food outlets not within walking distance.

On the first night Thursday it was peaceful and quiet. The other 2 nights Friday and Saturday the people in the other rooms stayed up until 3-4 am talking and tv on.

Sat on the bed for 5 mins and ended up with bites all over myself and my partner, from bed bugs. Room was untidy. We packed and left immediately and have still not received a refund or any correspondence from the campus.

I stayed here for two nights. It is very simple and comfortable for one person. Simple is Best!

bad staff, wouldnt refund money. gave me no pillow. horrible.

For the price there were too many things wrong with this apartment. My heating didn't work ( and it was freezing)!!! I was only given one thin blanket not even a doona, and when I complained they gave me 2 cheap Ikea blankets which didn't have covers so were very itchy. My roomies were slobs so all the dishes were put away dirty etc., but there wasn't even a tea towel and only 1 sponge and no drying rack for 6 people!! The showers were clean enough but the shower heads were horrible, you couldn't move them so they just sprayed strait into the wall, had terrible pressure and wasn't even hot all the time. For what you get here it should be closer to Hostel prices, yeah they made my bed everyday but with how un professional the staff are this just made me conscious that they were going into my room. Ohh and on my last day I decided to have a sleep in after a big week (checkout is 10), and someone came barging into my room at 9am!! Very un professional.

Everything was provided - except there did not appear to be enough plates, bowls etc. The bed was good to sleep on and on the whole I would stay there again.
