staff is very friendly. Room was quiet and even had a kettle. Unusual for hotels outside UK Close to train station

all expectations met. 5 min from main station, nice street with nearby restaurants, friendly service, fast and efficient check-in/out

Ian easy walk from the train station. Close to the markets & shopping, and near the Abby & old town.

The location was walking distance to old part of the city. The hotel room was clean and good amount of space for luggage. The breakfast was nice with a good selection of foods. I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

great little hotel with very helpful staff.

had a great stay in the sorrell hotel as we were in st gallen for the st gallen v swansea city game. hotel was only a 5 minute walk from the train station + a 10 min walk from the centre of town (ideal as the taxi prices are extortionate) our apartment wasnt ready when we arrived so we were given free beer as we waited for our room (great as we had been travelling for over 12 hrs) only flaw was there was only a continental breakfast available but that was ok as there was plenty of choice. i would definately consider staying here again

Walking distance to train station and old town. Like most of Switzerland, very expensive. They also charge for parking. No air conditioning, but they provided a fan.

A bit in the middle of nowhere, but close to the train station. Friendly staff but sometimes struggle with English. Reasonable breakfast. Bright and airy.

The Weissenstein was a great value and a very nice hotel. We had a two bedroom apartment that was very attractively furnished. With the Expedia discount, it cost us no more than a regular hotel room would have cost. The rate inluded breakfast which was quite good.The location was very central, but it was on a quiet street, so there was very little street noise.

The staff spoke several languages very well and were very helpful. The location was excellent walking distance from the train station, old town, and the Abbey. My room was a little small and the twin bed was uncomfortable---I recommend upgrading to at least a double for the single rooms. I haven't slept in a twin bed since I was 12 years old. I paid an average of 182.00 USD a night--this hotel was not worth that value, I paid more because it was a holiday in Switzerland. Good luck...Enjoy.
