Colca Lodge Spa & Hot Springs

Very nice staff at the restaurant - very pleasant interactions both during dinner and at included breakfast. Unbelievably beautiful location and the property fitted into it. Very well-maintained, ingeniously thought out and executed. The Llama and Alpaca ranch across the hanging bridge over the rapid river was such a joy - the animals were clearly well looked-after, clean and groomed and smiling, with sufficient food and no smells of unattended waste. The groundskeepers were all discreet, and one well-behaved black Huacaya Alpaca was even let out of the corral to walk free and socialize with the guests. A lovely polite Cat, obviously working in Housekeeping, visited every little verandah to ask the guests if everything was to their satisfaction ;-). Hot Spring Baths were outstanding, with a range of temperatures for everyone's comfort and they were accessible during the dark hours, so it was quite magical using them under the moonlight.

Accesiibility of the place: the parking is on a mountain plateu above the propery and the property is down in the valley, which means the poor staff have to help everyone load and unload their luggage. They have to walk up and down very steep stairs with people's suitcases after every guest checks in and out. Surely, some sort of a rudimentary rope lift cage could have been provided for them by the management? We felt so sorry for them, but no way we could have physucally achieved the same commute with the suitcases with our degree of physical fitness. A lot of the walkways were stairs or inclines, so once you reach the dining room, you are almost too sick to eat.

El hotel es maravilloso , el Restaurant muy rico , las termas maravillosas , el personal del Restaurant , Oscar , Daniel , Abel , todos muy atentos , Julio de las Maletas , muy servicial , el paisajismo e instalaciones son muy bien diseñadas y mantenidas , las termas soñadas , Pasé una noche en habitación standard , otra en junior y la suit terraza , y la verdad para mi el mejor emplazamiento si vas con niños es en la habitación standard entre la habitación 26 hasta la 33 o 34 , ya que salen a una pequeña terracita de piedra y luego directamente al pasto , por lo que hay un área grande para jugar que no se aprecia en las fotos , además es más económica , disfrutamos mucho la estadía , sin duda volveremos

La poca iniciativa y capacidad para resolver del personal de recepción . Que el desayuno se acabe 9:30 , podrían extenderlo una hora al menos . Para acceder al sector de las llamitas , atractivo para los menores hay que cruzar un puente colgante y este no tiene mallas de seguridad a los costados para niños pequeños .
