Likinia Hotel

Amazing hotel! Very clean and comfortable. We had a partial sea view. Quiet and beautiful location. Check in was easy and the breakfast was delicious. The freshly squeezed orange juice was a nice touch. Will be telling everyone I know to stay here.

We visited Monemvasia and stayed in Likinia hotel . The hotel is inside the castle with Very nice view. The rooms are very comfort , clean with traditional decoration. The staff are very helpful and very polite. Highly recommended this hotel for monemvasia.

The Likinia is a beautiful Hotel at the far end from the entrance portal to Monemvassia. We stayed only one night but wished we stayed longer. Each room has a nice terrace overlooking the restored town. The rooms are spacious, clean and tastefully,decorated. The owners are great hosts who take pride in their project to renovate and operate the hotel. If possible, pack only what you need for your stay to make the transport of your luggage from the entrance portal,of the town to the hotel easier.

We had a great time and felt like family with Mrs Voula. The rooms are immaculately kept and classic in style. Great breakfast spread as well! We'll be back for sure.

Superb small classic hotel on Monemvasia. The lady owner was wonderful. All the very best of Greek tradition of warmth, friendship and hospitality. The hotel was perfect, clean tidy and the staff terrific.

How can you criticize a beautiful hotel that has kept its old-world charm on a medieval island? Our room was built on a 12th-century foundation. You can still feel the remnants of old candle wax in the authentic niches of the wall's original stonework. The floors are wall-to-wall marble, even the shower floor. Enter your bathroom through a stone archway that may have been a monk's cloister. Smell the mesquite from an old fire in the stone fireplace. The room was the size of a large efficiency apartment, with only the kitchen missing. A complimentary bottle of wine awaited us. What a stupendous price for all of this on a medieval island. The proprietors are very nice, but haven't been able to imbibe much English, so this has led some travelers to complain in some of the reviews that had initially worried me. Don't let this misunderstanding deter you from enjoying this wonderful experience. The breakfast was delightful. Do not pass up the freshly squeezed orange juice; ours was clearly freshly plucked from a local arbor. The swimming was unbeatable. The water is clearer than most of the beaches I swam in, both on the Peloponnese and off Santorini, and that is REALLY saying something. Bring your goggles, your snorkle, and stay more than one night. Very few rowdy young people splashing about, so the water remains still and inviting beneath the precipitous medieval town clinging to the cliff. Great restaurants & shops. Trendy but old-world!

The location was amazing, should have packed a small suitcase, as there are a lot of steps going to the hotel.
