Harazuru Hotel

Hotel staff members are super courteous and friendly. The location is not great only because it's a bit far from the airport.

For the price it was exactly the type of bargain I wanted for my brief overnight stay near TPE airport. I was very happy they could arrange hotel transfers to airport via email before I arrived. The room was mostly clean and small. However, the bathroom had black mole in the corners so I opted not to shower. Only break in service was that I was promised a breakfast takeaway bag since my flight was before the beginning of breakfast service time. My taxi was ready when I when I needed to depart but my breakfast never made the journey. I would prob not stay here again unless I needed a cheap, transit/overnight near TPE, but only one night. Overall, good value for money.

This hotel is not really conveniently located to public transportation but it does not take long to get to the airport. Really great breakfast included in price. Staff try really hard to help in any way they can. The mattress was very hard though. But all things considered we really enjoyed our stay!

We were positively surprised. Reviewers of this and similar hotels had complained about small rooms, hard mattresses and strange breakfasts. All true, but: This is Asia! Rooms are small, mattresses are hard (I have a bad back and really appreciate a firm, hard mattress!), and the breakfasts are Asian! After some long flights with terrible airplane food, we enjoyed the lavish freshly prepared breakfast spread. (For those less happy with Asian breakfast,, there was a plentiful section of Western breakfast foods...) The room was small, but quiet, and clean. Everything worked, air conditioning, hot water, elevator. The hotel isn't new and some of the furnishings could do with some updating, but that's a very minor detail and didn't affect the quality of our stay. The staff was competent, friendly, eager to help, eager to please. The location is excellent - only about 15 min. from the airport. (The staff at the taxi stand and the driver didn't know where it was, but called the hotel, found out, and got us there without problem.) The hotel price is ok. The downside is that two taxi trips add about US$35 to the total cost, which makes it a bit pricey though that may be unavoidable. All in all, we had a relaxing restful stay. Next time I have to overnight in Taipei, this is where I'll stay.

The hotel was small but good. It has a moderate breakfast.

We spent one night at this hotel. Everyone was extremely courteous. It was cold and raining. They provided extra blankets to make us comfortable because the building has no heat. Oh my goodness, the breakfast was sensational! The bathroom is dated,. Nevertheless, it was clean as so was the room. The bed is quite firm. We would stay again!

The room needs to be better maintained, but the complimentary breakfast makes up the difference.

Good breakfast, only problem was hard to communicate people don't speak to much English but we made do, overall good experience

The Hara Zuru Hotel was in Taoyuan city, not too far from the airport. The hotel staff were really friendly and polite and I felt completely at ease and happy to be there. The room was smart and clean although not as big as the photographs suggested, but it catered for my every need for an overnight stop. Organising transport to the airport was easy and hassle-free. The room had a kettle and tea and coffee, but also there was free coffee and tea downstairs all night any way, as well as two free internet computers to use. The mattress was quite hard, but it was what I expected before I headed to Taiwan anyway. I slept well. Breakfast was a good spread - a good choice of salad, cold meats, tofu, eggs, cereal and plenty of fruit and nuts, as well as tea and coffee. What I particularly liked about this hotel was the location. Really easy access to the main roads around Taoyuan city, but in a quiet road, which meant I slept without disturbance.
