Hotel Ambassador by ACE Hotels

We visited Kathmandu to visit our daughter who lives and works near the hotel. Actually the location was superb. Walking distance to the Thamel area though acrobatic skills are required to cross some streets. Some nice craft shops and a great tea house are nearby (not required to cross streets). Breakfast service was superb and the view from the rooftop cafe/restaurant is amazing, and there is a good Japanese restaurant is in the building.

Short walk to the Thamel historic district. Easy grocery, restaurant, and ATM access.

I enjoyed my time at this place. it is more like a business hotel than a typical Nepal place. It is quiet, clean and very comfortable. the staff was great and the food at breakfast and restaurant amazing. I recommend if you are looking for a place to relax after or before a long trek

One of the best hotel in Kathmandu. Staff is very attentive.

All the staff were amazing. I didn’t get most of the staff’s names, but the one’s sticking to my mind are Prashanna, Kavita and Asmita at front desk. Also the house keeping staff were attentive and friendly. The Diplomat restaurant where the breakfast was served, those staff were very cooperative. On my last day, they were very kind enough to even pack me a couple of sandwiches for my onward flight. Only the food from their rooftop restaurant didn’t suit my

1.No exercise room 2. there is cafeteria where they have a bizzare rule to serve eggs or omelette only till 10 am , they don’t serve proteins after that time 😇 3. 2nd floor has a Resturant which has decent food menu but the portion size too small , are like kids size

Excellent hotel to stay. However, room service has to be 24/7 to become better

Air conditioning in room didn’t work. Despite telling staff each night, and being fixed, it kept breaking. Resulting in terrible and no sleep over three nights
