Clean, tidy and functional

No tv in the room and no common room

Taxi to the airport was a bit expensive and I had trouble regulating the shower temperature

Very clean room and fantastic big shower. Breakfast was lovingly cooked for us at a time we requested. The owner and the young man who checked us in were very friendly

Such friendly staff and very accommodating to our crazy flight times!

The first night it was unusually hot and the room didn't have air con- there was a fan but with 4 of us sleeping in it, it was very stuffy! But in fairness it rarely gets that hot in England.

As we were leaving too early for breakfast some lovely croissants, jam and fruit was provided the night before which we greatly appreciated.

I arrived early in the morning and the receptionist allowed me to check in early, after she checked with the cleaning staff. The receptionist also gave me excellent information regarding getting around to London by train from the local train station. An excellent stay in a beautiful city

Nothing

The bus stop was directly outside and for that reason I chose to stay again . The house was a lovely period property and the owner was very welcoming and it was nice just to relax in the hallway for a bit when I arrived. All in all I would say it was a pleasant stay and very convenient. The nice thing was the lady upgraded my room to a double bed. The room was very pleasant and had most things on it that you needed the bed was very comfortable and there was a pleasant brace coming through the shutters.

The stairs to the second floor were a little narrow, but then you can’t complain in such a quaint old English property. Someone decided to slam a door at 3 o’clock in the morning and continue to move about. not sure if that was the same person but once I was awake, I really couldn’t get back off to sleep. The bed side lamp kept flickering and wasn’t working. There were only two teabags and a few sugars and two coffee sachets if you arrive in the evening and go through to the next morning you need more than 2 cups of tea and that was a double room luckily I was on my own. The water in the shower was very hot and I couldn’t work out how to get any cold no matter how much I turned it it really was scolding which is nice because sometimes you book to an accommodation the waters cold.

Location close to excellent Turkish restaurant (Shiraz) and close to Bus 100 to North Terminal of Gatwick (10 minutes) Breakfast room was unlocked early for us; bed was very comfortable

No air conditioning - south facing room was hot- best to keep curtains closed. Very small room. Very narrow shower door opening- needed to step in and out sideways

Fab location for the airport - easy bust right outside the hotel straight to the airport
