We didn't stay for long periods of time at the hotel location. There seemed to be lots of activities available for those wishing aerobics, swimming, hot tub, excursion advise, snack bar. Mini golf is across the street. The help were all friendly and helpful. Was nice that gratis fresh coffee was available in the lobby. They couldn't make the weather be more pleasant, but if they could have they would have. The garage and parking with ample luggage carts were very convenient.
Being directly in the beach is always a plus, but I thought it might have been knocked down a few notches just by looking around the neighborhood. It wasn't. It was very clean and the rooms were large and well kept. The front desk was very helpful. Parking was a bit of a hassle with the pass and the construction- but, hopefully they have that complete soon. I was pleasantly surprised and wild stay again if I was in the area, especially for the price.
We were promised an ocean-front room and we got a street view. The hotel said it was Hotels.com's fault and to straighten it out with them. I didn't have the time to go through an ordeal but We were very unhappy after being promised an ocean view.
Close to the beach, but the accommodations were so-so, at best. The staff were pleasant and courteous, but really didn't do much. The room was not refreshed, (sheets and towels were not replaced, etc.) except by request. No restaurant on premises, the internet was down 2 of the 4 days I was there. A basic Ramada Inn or similar motel would have been an upgrade.
My fiance and I had an amazing stay in Ormond Beach. The rooms are cozy and the views are to die for!
