The stuff was attentive and friendly. The pub is full of character and history and was lively and full of friendly people, good food and a fun session of live music on the night we were there.

Could not open the window in the room at night and some of the pictures in the room were on the depressing side, full of war scenes.

Easy location for walking into town. Pleasant surprise by access to free parking, which I was not expecting. Good menu available. Great beds, lovely hot water. Exceptional staff who worked together as a great team, seemed happy to be there and for whom nothing was too much trouble.

Breakfast was very tasty but expensive and we were not offered any choices. Curtains let lots of light through, so wake early. Extractor did not work in bathroom.

Great location, quaint old English hostellery. Very welcoming and rooms were spacious and clean. Fantastic breakfast, great poached eggs.

Sadly arriving on a Sunday evening no food available, nothing open locally. A possible learning point to advise potential customers and provide an advance order, salad or sandwiches?
