Excellent central position

We didn't have breakfast, but were told at the sister hotel that it would be served there when we attended a gig the night of our stay. Everyone was extremely friendly and straight-forward. The mattress was super comfortable and it was extremely clean. Shower worked well etc.

This is not anyone's fault really, but I think a warning or rethink of the room allocation based on the situation would have been a good idea. The May fair was going on and the room was litterally vibrating when we arrived. The very kind woman who gave me the key and explained very well where parking and the room was, said it would be quiet by 9pm, which was fine, but we didn't quite take in the level of volume and vibration in the room. We had a sense of humour about it, but it just meant that we didn't spend any time in the room at all except to sleep there. As the weather was a bit bad, it would have been nice to have a place to hang out for some of the time before we went to dinner and the gig at the sister hotel. I think, as a former hotel owner, I would have explained the situation in advance and then it is up to the booker if it is okay or not?

Staff were excellent/ room was great
