Didn't have breakfast so can't give an opinion, check in i had to wait in a busy pub while people where served. Bit awkward

I dont like cleaners going in my room when I have all my personal stuff there. I was only there for 2 nights. there was nothing to hang on the door to say do not enter. Cleaners came in. Personal preference but hate it.

Our room was next to the alleyway Room 5 and we had people talking loudly under our single glazed window until 4am. Can not remember the last time I hade such a bad sleep. It was the same both nights

The room was clean and comfortable, and a decent size with plenty of storage for luggage and clothes.

We stopped here for a rest on a long drive from Scotland south. Initially we struggled to park (parking is actually down the road at the sister hotel, only space for 5-6 cars on site). At check in we were met with comments from the staff about how noisy the room was, 'don't expect to sleep much' and 'I hope you don't want an early night'. When we got into the room it was evident that she was correct, there was noise from the bar below and the corridor outside. Not unmanageable but enough to disturb. Evidently the management knew about these issues as they had provided ear plugs in the room! When we raised these issues with them we were generally dismissed. So rather than endure a disturbed night before a long drive we decided to abandon and booked a room in a local premier inn instead. In hindsight perhaps it was our mistake booking a town centre hotel but it was not really clear from the listing that they are aiming at the night life crowd and a place to crash after a party.

High st location was really good. Restaurant food and service and bar were fabulous

Bedroom with single glazed windows was a bit noisy. Bins being emptied at 4am etc The bed was 2 singles together which made a gap in the middle but all in all it was fine. Big, spacious room was very comfortable
