Chambre impeccable, repeinte, salle de bain propre, literie propre, chambre donnant sur la Marne donc calme absolu. Je conseille vivement.

An odd little place which one might describe as mildly chaotic but it is also well meaning - everything works out in the end when you get hold of the staff. We had a welcome fan during the hot spell, the continental breakfast is ok and there is a dinner option when the restaurant is open (not weekends). If it isn't, there's a nice little creperie round the corner. The main town is a walk along the river. Handy for the bus to Jouarre or Meaux - the stop is just outside the door. It's also right next to the powerful war memorial to the British Expeditionary Force soldiers killed at the Battle of the Marne in September 1914. You can enjoy a pleasant riverside walk along the Marne.

Could try harder with information about the local area - there are quite a few interesting places nearby. Felt like it's a place for tour bus groups.
