Convenient location for surrounding shops etc, room was comfortable but just wish others that were more respectul in terms of noise.

I expected the motel to be pretty average, given the price. However, the age was older than it looks in the photos, especially the stove, and bathroom. While on first inspection it appeared to be mostly clean, when you started to look closer, it had only been given a cursory clean. There was rubbish still under the beds, and it was very grimy around the stove. Added to this, we had the Police knock on our door the first night, as they'd had a 111 call they couldn't track. The second night, there was a drunk man shouting abuse and banging on cars at 4:39 am in the carpark. It felt very unsafe staying here with those 2 events. When we asked the staff about it the next day, they knew nothing, but said they would check the security cameras. No idea if they ever did. Even without this drama - it was very noisy with road traffic, and we found it very hard to sleep. The bathroom is upstairs, and the stairs are very narrow, tight and we didn't feel as if they were safe to climb up and down at night. This would not be a suitable place to stay for disabled or elderly people. The couch was so old we didn't dare sit on it. The Positives: The private courtyard was quite nice. The manager was friendly and welcoming. If you're on a budget, and not too worried about cleanliness, and you are physically able to navigate the stairs to get to the bathroom, then stay at your own risk. Just make sure you bring ear plugs and a sleeping mask.

The property is dated and on a main road so a little noisey, but it’s reflected in the price. Everything was clean and tidy and the staff was super friendly.

Property was in a great location for what I needed. Just getting a little outdated. Others didn't seem to be concerned about their noise level. Very thin walls. Staff were friendly and always tried to assist. Followed up on all issues bought to their attention. Polite and friendly

Had a very short stay but was very comfortable. I liked the very private courtyard.

What did we like - leaving there? The room looked clean upon entry, but looking closer I didn’t want to touch anything. Stains on the bedcover, fabric chairs were soiled, and while showering noticed mould around the shower handle. The sliding door had a loose screw as a latch and could only be locked by the dead bolt above. Then we had guests next door that talked ALL night that we questioned whether it was a tv left on, and was easily heard from our room despite the concrete block walls. We only needed somewhere to sleep for the night in the area that has limited accommodation but I wish I had paid more to stay further away 🙁

The motel is located perfectly on Pakuranga Road and convenient for beaches, shops Howick Historical Village, family and friends. It was quiet and the host was friendly and helpful The motel is getting a little outdated and could do with some minor Improvements to modernise it. Bed in room was large and comfortable, however the armchair a little worn out Breakfast good and adequate facilities with oven, microwave and fridge but required roll of paper towel for cleaning up purposes. Some residents did not stick to their allocated parking spot just parking where they liked.
