"Exactly what we wanted, where we wanted."

Wife had to go to a conference for 8am and we didn't want to have a massive drive early in the morning. We chose the Howick because it was an 8 minute straight road, to the conference. It was also a great location for dinner on Tuesday evening. The room was massive! It was clean and bright. Ok, the decor was a bit "tired" but it was absolutely fine. We slept downstairs, bathroom and toilet...upstairs!!! It was all good. Shower was good. Staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome.

"Basic, clean and afffordable "

Simple, older styled but meets basic needs. Rooms aren't new, or modern but has old fashioned car parking, we were able to park two cars at no extra cost for 4 guests. Clean, double bed was wonderful to sleep in. Court yard, cold, concrete and stair well leading upstairs (where bathroom and single beds x 2) approx. 2/3 width of normal stair well. All in all, it served its purpose and we sat well.

"Close to Highland Park"

There was a notice in the room asking for you to be quiet after 9pm because of the houses nearby and people around, which we totally understood. Unfortunately we were next to the owners apartment and at 11.30pm they were still wooping it up and being very noisy

"Sleepless night"

Room smelled like old cooking smells. Bed comfortable. Staff lovely. They have person living on site with small dog that barked at every noise and tennant coming and going all night so didn’t end up sleeping till very late
