"Wedding at Bergendal"

10.0

Me and my wife had our wedding (150 people) at bergendal and were so happy we decided to write a review. Food was great (you can try the menu before you choose), location was great (view of the lake is beautiful and can be seen from the venue)), service was great (ladies at reception really helped us by delivering our lunch and coffee to our rooms and anything else we needed really), and Michel who helped us plan the whole thing is service minded and helpful- we got step by step guidance and communicatin between him and the staff was outstanding). Amazing staff overall. They have a wedding suite which is located separately from the other hotel rooms so we had a bit of privacy at the end, and in the morning we treated our guests to brunch at Bergendal which was amazing too. Highly recommend this place. Great locations for photographs, and the hotel has a good sized gym and outdoor hot pool which is great for guests and the wedding couple during stay! We only had good feedback from our guests and we couldnt be happier ourselves.

"Interesting"

6.0

First, let me start by saying this is a convention hotel and it is a good ways away from the city. It is about a 20 minute taxi ride costing 380 kr one way. It reminded me of camp. The hotel is in the country surrounded by a lake. There is nothing close to the facility except a daycare actually outside the gates. The children like to play outside when the weather is nice. Also, there is no air-conditioning (at least in the building we stayed in) and the window only opens partially so it was very stuffy. The room was clean, however we had a big spider in the corner behind the chair. I would not choose to stay here by my own choice but since it was a company event we had no other option. One positive- They have coffee and cookies in the lobby!

"Very good"

8.0

Stay there in March 2007 as a member of a company conference. Discreet hotel in quiet place, nice interior and very good food. Did not pay by myself, so cannot rate the value of the stay, but would definitely be delighted to come back if there was another conference in the future.

"Off the beated track in Sollentuna"

6.0

The hotel showcases its past grandeur, though a bit of refurbish would be welcome: long winding staircases, wonderful art pieces and a lake and woodland scenery outside that matches the interior décor. On the negative side rooms are tiny and poorly fitted. I would recommend the experience, so different from what I have found in other occasions in Stockholm, but do not reserve expecting a Crown Plaza o Marriott.

"Decent conference hotel outside of Stockholm"

6.0

Spent two days and a night at Bergendal during a conference recently. The hotel is situated about 20 minutes' drive outside of central Stockholm, so it's not that convenient if your aim is to spend a lot of time in the capital itself, but for us it served its purpose. We used a large conference room as well as a few smaller meeting rooms and everything was satisfactory with decent pastries, fresh fruit, coffee etc delivered during the breaks. Tried Bergendals lunch twice and wasn't really wowed even though quality was good enough. What I especially liked was the bottles of sparkling water and the view over the winter wonderlandy landscape outside of the window. We also had dinner which was far better than lunch. Starter was good but nothing special, the main course however, reindeer fillet with Västerbotten cheese potato puré, red wine sauce and creamed morels was great, as was the 'inverted blueberry pie'. Breakfast the following morning was also good with a decent selection of hot and cold items. The room then. First impression was okay, smallish flatscreen tv with a quite limited selection of tv-channels, I think there were 8 or 9, including one or two English news channels. The view from my room was nice, over snowclad trees, and there was a desk and a chair which allowed for some evening work (woho). The bathroom wasn't great, it looked aged and the shower curtain was about 10 centimeters too short leaving a big gap allowing for the shower's water to flood the rest of the bathroom - why? But one thing surprised me considering the general averageness of the room; the bed. The bed was really, really comfortable and I slept like a baby and got a good nights sleep thanks to it. During the few encounters I had with staff they were friendly and helpful, I got great help from a girl at frontdesk locating a lost item which I really appreciated. So, I guess that Bergendal was, as expected, a decent well functioning conference hotel. They delivered what was expected, but I wasn't really impressed by anything, except for the great bed and the tasty main course.
