Hotel Pellegrino

LOOK NO FURTHER, BOOK NOW! At Alessia's request, I am reviewing our stay here only at the end of our 3-week Italy road trip. Having stayed in many different locations, I can say, without a doubt, that this has been our most exceptional experience. Beyond the fascinating views, perfect location, beautiful rooms, amazing terraces, the truly outstanding highlight of this place are the people. They have made our family of 5 (4 adults, 1 child and one dog) feel like royalty, with care, kindness and impeccable communication: from securing safe parking on-site for our huge car on the Amalfi coast, assisting us with heavy luggage, booking for us an unforgettable private boat trip to Capri (with our dog!) complete with transfer, coming to pick us up at a time of our choice from Positano, advising us on our Amalfi itinerary, giving us restaurant recommendations and even checking parking garages availability for us - they just went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and as comfortable as possible. We were personally served each morning with the richest, most delicious breakfast we've had in all of Italy, with local fresh produce, amazing coffee, and huge variety of dishes. We had dinner one evening on the beautiful terrace overlooking the coast, an experience I would definitely recommend. They even researched ways to have our luggage delivered in another Amalfi town via boat, so we can travel without the worry of a car full of luggage. And to top it off, on the day of departure, they pulled their own car in the street to allow us to exit the parking safely on the crazy Amalfi roads. This is THE PLACE to stay on the coast and I would choose it for my family again and again! Thank you for an unforgettable stay, you've set a very high standard of excellence of what hospitality should feel like.

Nous étions de passage et n’avons passé qu’une nuit à l’hôtel Pellegrino, mais tout était parfait. L’hôtel est magnifique avec toute sa végétation en façade. Luigi est également un hôte exceptionnel. Il semble partout à la fois et s’assure que vous ne manquiez de rien! Le déjeuner était vraiment excellent et très complet, avec de bons produits frais.

When we pulled up to the hotel, after a short drive from Sorrento, it was like pulling up to something from a fairytale! The whole building is covered in greenery/bougainvillaea. The staff were so friendly and attentive and made everything possible. They drive us to Parrocchia di san Gennaro, where we walked down lots of stairs to Gavitella Beach. They recommended a very sweet free beach, where we swam. We also went with their recommendation for drinks and lunch at Cafe Mirante. I then text them for a lift back to the hotel as the heat was so intense (and those stairs) and they were there within minutes. We adored the food and lack of menus - they just go with what is fresh, local and the catch of the day. The most amazing supper on the terrace, with breakfast there in the morning. We were spoilt with a total feast! Again, no menus, but they just kept brining homemade juice, jams, fruit salads, eggs with bacon and a platter of the most delicious sweet pastries. Our room was beautiful with a little terrace with the best sea views (and AC!). No swimming pool but we didn't mind as we were only there for one night, and you are spoilt for choice with local beaches. 10/10 and we cannot wait to return!

There was not a single thing we didn't like

Such a beautiful property and relatively central location. Much more peaceful than the bigger towns. Made us feel very welcome and very homey feel. Staff were very attentive and made it easy to get around the coast.

This location is the best in Praiano… it sits right at the beginning of the road leading into town!! You can see everything from here! The boutique family run hotel was amazing. Luigi and his family have something truly special. I will never stay anywhere else when I come to the Amalfi coast. No need to worry about transportation as Luigi is your personal driver, his eldest daughter is your personal concierge can book tours, dinners, and activities for you! They also have a delicious restaurant where they spoil you rotten with breakfast it’s included and the dinner is top-notch their youngest daughter is a highly trained chef!!

Everything was exceptional

Stanze pulite, caratteristiche e curate nei dettagli, tutte con terrazzino vista mare. Ottima la colazione, ricca e varia servita in terrazza con bellissima vista. Gestori gentilissimi ci hanno consigliato le escursioni da fare e fornito ottimo servizio auto per portarci/prenderci nei punti di partenza/arrivo delle nostre escursioni

The entire staff at this Hotel is a 10 out of 10. If you ever need a ride to anywhere nearby, the Hotel just needs a little bit of a heads up, and they will drive you to Positano, Praiano and if it’s a little bit beyond that they will arrange for transport. The in-house restaurant service the best breakfast I’ve ever had. The rooms are kept impeccable. The patio facing DC provides a breathing view of both sunrise and sunset.

That we wish we could’ve stayed longer

Die Zimmer sind sauber, hochwertig und geschmackvoll, das Frühstück einmalig, das Service und die Betreuung am obersten Level! The Hotel Pellegrino is special. Luigi and his family go above and beyond to provide a unique and personal experience, they make you feel like you’re the only guests in the hotel. From booking Alessia was offering support with transfer to the hotel and this continued throughout our trip, she booked tickets, suggested places to visit and routes to take, we got to see so much of the area because of this. Daniela is an amazing chef, every meal was delicious and her wine recommendations were spot on, all enjoyed on the rooftop dining area. The breakfast is fantastic and there was plenty of it, all served at your table. Our room was immaculate, cleaned to a very high standard daily and beautifully decorated. The sea view terrace is gorgeous, offering an amazing view of Praiano. The hotel is within walking distance to Praiano and the beach, although transport to and from local areas is provided and included in the room price. We highly recommend the Hotel Pellegrino, it a true gem on the Amalfi coast and we will definitely be returning. Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience!

The rave reviews are accurate! We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Pellegrino, with a beautiful room (with great view!), delicious food, and courteous, professional, helpful service from Luigi and his family. This hotel was the highlight of our 3 week trip to Europe this summer! The Amalfi Coast is crowded, but Praiano is quieter and Hotel Pellegrino makes a perfect base. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough!
