Encantada Resort Vacation Townhomes by IDILIQ

Wonderful place to stay, hottub on the porch was amazing. Highly recommend

We were suppose to have a pull out sofa but it wasn’t. We also almost ran out of toilet paper which could have been resolved by housekeeping leaving extras under the sinks. Since the property isn’t manned until 11:00 we had to wait for help. The property is nice and we would definately stay again we just will check things over a bit more upon check in.

The overall estate was well managed and well looked after. The property itself was clean and a good size. It was in a great location for what we wanted.

The property needed some TLC. The carpets were the biggest issue. Unfortunately, in places the grip bar was completely exposed. Additionally, for a Villa this is the most basic kitchen I have ever had. With only one baking sheet and one frying pan to accommodate for 8 people. Nothing like a simple mixing bowl or an oven dish. Additional, the information given by IDILIQ on booking.com and on the main information sheet at booking, are either misleading, incomplete or incorrect. This made our holiday slightly harder. An example, is that on booking.com it is not clearly communicated that change of linen half way during your stay would be chargeable. The information provided on the welcome sheet had a QR code for a completely different property. Additionally, when we asked for our Trash to be taken from the property - as the information says online - it was not removed.

I would like to give this place a good review, as have stayed here twice before, however, my visit on 17th-19th April 2025 will be my last. We drove from Miami and checked in late (about 10pm). Upon checking in, security asked us for the gate code. I explained this was not sent to us by email, so rather than checking our details, she asked us to move as we were holding up others guests trying to get through the gate and come back when we know the code. I already explained this was not sent, so we could not get in. I phoned the resort and explained and they told us that we need to go back to security. I already found this daunting due to our prior experience. We tried again at security to get through. Again, told if we don’t have the number there is nothing she can do. She came across as rude and was rather short with us. I didn’t need this after a 5 hour drive from Miami. I explained that we don’t have the code and have paid upfront, plus have evidence that we have a booking. It was only then she checked the computer system and my passport and we were finally given a key. When we got to the home I booked, we walked in, and I was horrified! It was disgusting!! Clearly it had not been cleaned. I had to pay over £100 upfront (this is a mandatory charge as part of the booking) and clearly it was not done. Soap scum in the shower, rusted enamel coming off the sink, stained ice dispenser, ring marks, cockroach… I will let the pictures speak for themselves. The cleaners clearly had not done their job. To top it off this was NOT what I booked. I was given a 3 bedroom deluxe BUT booked a 4 bedroom town house. There was nothing “deluxe” about it! The furniture was old, tired and needed replacing. Nothing like they show in the pictures online. From previous stays, I had booked a 2 bedroom home twice and was pleased, but this time the home we were given was awful. There was nothing I could do as reception was closed so had no choice but to dispute this the next morning. Next morning, I went to reception. I showed the pictures to reception and they were shocked. They apologised and made a call to IDILIQ who manage the resort. I was offered a $50 gift card (not that I wanted this, as I wanted a refund) and the difference between the 4 bedroom and 3 bedroom home (about £20). They would not refund the cleaning fee, but after some discussion, agreed to refund the resort fee - to this day has still not been refunded. I received about £20 back into my account, but was expecting around £80 as was agreed over the phone. To top it off, they had none of the 4 bedroom homes left, so were told we had to remain in the house they put us in. Basically we were booked into the wrong home and with practically no refund. This was their negligence! It was such a shame as we booked this place as part of my mum’s 80th birthday trip to America, and it put a damper on the experience. The last time I stayed here was in 2018. I’m not sure if IDILIQ were managing the resort back then, but up until this point we had no problems. What I have discovered is that various people own these homes on the resort and keep them as holiday rentals, therefore, the condition of the furniture will vary. My previous visits have had nice modern and clean furniture, but this time it was grotty, old and well overdue for an update. Some of these homes should be inspected and not rented out as this falls well below standards I have come to expect from this resort. I noticed I am not the only one to complain about the cleanliness of the properties and furniture. Many other people have left reviews stating the same. I have also noticed that the resort has replied on many occasions showing an apology and that it falls well below their standards, and that they will address it with their team. Well, it is still happening, and lessons don’t appear to have been learned. But I can tell you what I have learned, and it’s that you may not get what you paid for. The furniture, cleanliness, management and friendliness of the staff team fall well below standard. I will not be staying again.

We stayed for a week and everytime I could get ahold of a manager they told me they would get back to me before 6pm and still have yet to hear from a manager. It’s very rude and unprofessional. We had so many maintenance issues with our resort and they would keep telling us they can’t do anything without proof even tho we had it. one guy couldn’t even bother to look at the proof he was in a hurry to get out while he was on the phone the whole time with the other person on the end kept telling him to “be nice” ( we had a water leak coming from the upstairs master bedroom leaking on to the living room floor, the master bedroom lights would flicker when on, a bowed in floor covered up by a rug and putting our weight on it made it feel like we would definitely go through the floor eventually, etc.) i feel like you should always have one manager on site for these type of issues, i should not have to go to the main building to call a manger and wait around on hold for you to beat around the bush and tell me the same thing every time. Highly dissatisfied with management at the Encantada resort.
