La Kukula Lodge

A wonderful jungle property with the sounds and sights of nature all around. The hosts were very attentive, the included breakfasts were excellent. Everything was very well maintained. An easy walk to a gorgeous natural clean beach. Everything about this unique property was excellent!

We had a wonderful time with friendly hosts, good breakfast, clean rooms and an amazing nature! We loved everything about it :-)

This was one of the coolest place we stayed at during our trip in Costa Rica. This was as they say, living in the jungle! It was very relaxing waking up early due to the howler monkeys. We saw many animals even a moving sloth on the way to the beach. This place is a hidden gem. The beach Playa Chiquita is also very nice and if you go a bit further to Playa Uva you find another great location. Great restaurants nearby and the hotel is also offering bar- food service.

The breakfast options especially for kids not used to Gallo Pinto.

Es un lugar fantastico, acogedor. En medio de la naturaleza sin sentirse invasivo. Los propietarios son personas cálidas, respetuosas y amigables. Todo estaba perfectamente limpio y en buen estado. La ubicación es perfecta, se puede caminar en pocos minutos a la playa o a varios restaurantes de diferente gastronomía, ademas que el servicio de restaurante de La Kukula es delicioso .

Better than any canopy tour, you are amongst all the enimals, with all the best conditions (minus AC)

The owners have kept the grounds natural. They have plants/foliage that is natural habitat for wildlife and creatures. This is what we come to CR to see.

Would appreciate a small refrigerator in the room.

We had such a good experience. It seems like you are in the middle of the jungle with a lot of privacy. Everything looked fabulous. My daughter love the swimming pool. Amazing staff. Especially I would love to say thank you to Jeremy. He was so nice to us and showed so many animals that we would not have seen without him. We have seen two sloths living there, two types of snakes, multiple frogs, and monkeys, jumping on the top of the trees while we were swimming in the pool. Thank you so much for such amazing time.

Fantastic to be in the middle of the trees. The staff were so friendly & we loved hearing & seeing the frogs & other wildlife, including a sloth in a tree above the pool one morning.

No aircon if you are used to that, but we knew this beforehand & the fans in the rooms did a pretty good job. We could also open the flaps to only have mesh to outside to let air through.
