Belmar Spa & Beach Resort

We had a really lovely experience at Belmar. The hotel is exceptionally clean, and our room was spotless throughout our stay. The staff go above and beyond to help guests, and every single person we interacted with was polite, kind, and always smiling. The cocktails are excellent, and a special shout-out goes to Rodrigo, who makes the best Sangria and Aperol Spritz! I even told him that his Aperol Spritz tasted better than the ones I had in Italy. The location of the hotel is perfect – just a few minutes' walk from a beautiful beach with stunning sunset views, and only a short drive from Lagos. I would highly recommend Belmar to anyone who values cleanliness, outstanding customer service, and a great location. One suggestion would be to have at least one heated outdoor pool for the cooler days. The spa pool is heated, but on a sunny yet cooler day it would be wonderful to enjoy swimming outdoors without the water being so cold. Unfortunately, some of the jacuzzi facilities and experience showers in the spa were not working during our stay, so we didn't spend as much time there as we had hoped. The only aspect that was slightly disappointing was the food at Levante Restaurant. We dined there one evening and found it quite average compared to the otherwise excellent standard of the hotel. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and cannot wait to return. Thank you to the entire team for making our holiday so enjoyable.

The Belmar does not deserve the qualification of being a resort. The very first experience is carrying luggage up a steep hill without any assistance or even a luggage rack. The rooms were mediocre- they were generally unclean and unstocked with basic amenities like soap or an adequate amount of towels. The rooms additionally had a bunch of bugs that were everywhere. I woke up with ants in my hair at one point. The customer service at the breakfast buffet was unwelcoming and rude especially considering the price of the buffet. The amenities were subpar- you would expect the heated pools to actually be heated. This hotel also seems to be stingy with their towels as barely any towels were provided and the ones that were provided were ripped and rough. This whole experience was horrible and felt like staying at an overpriced motel rather than a resort

Lovely resort on the beach. Staff nd facilities excellent. Lovely pool areas serving food. Rooms very clean. V good breakfast.

A bit of a walk into old town with incline at start. Ubers v good though for very little money.

They helped us have a rental car delivered within an hour.

I dread giving negative reviews however the Belmar Hotel was a horrific experience for me. Day 1 I ate in the restaurant, got food poisoning, after emailing via Booking.com and after 3 full days of agony in bed no water, doctor, contact. I was too sick to do more than one spa treatment, go to beach which was a really needed break away. Rude spa receptionist made it impossible to tip and housekeeping staff bang aggressively on the door. €3,000 for 10 nights, I had to check as soon as I felt better on day 5, they refused to refund, and charged me for the meal which made me so sick. Same receptionist began talking to a colleague at the desk, whilst I was explaining, and checking out. Only thing this hotel cares about is getting money from well meaning tourists like me, no care, courtesy, we are bare money making machines. Also no hot water in shower, ancient old towels & cheapest toilet paper possible. Shame on them.
