Belmar Spa & Beach Resort

We traveled to Lagos with extended family ranging from 23-78 years of age, which can be challenging, and this property — with great amenities, close to the beach, and a quick car ride to Old Town Lagos — could not have been more perfect. The check-in and concierge staff was phenomenal. First, we expected to just drop bags because we arrived so early, but they managed to get us all placed in rooms immediately. Check-in was efficient and thorough, including property & town maps as well as suggestions for getting to know the area for our first day. During our stay, concierge services went above and beyond to suggest and book experiences, as well as private transportation for us. All of our units were immaculate upon check-in, and the housekeeping staff had them pristine again SO quickly each day. The management and staff of Levante was beyond exceptional, and all the food we had was wonderful. Many of our more-seasoned travelers noted the brunch buffet as their top brunch experience ever. The Lobby Bar and The Green Lounge were both top-notch as well, and Diego is THE MAN! The spa was lovely — a true respite — and the staff was amazing. The outdoor space was clean and beautifully maintained, the infused water & fresh florals in the lobby were well-done, and the little relaxation pools in the central hall were perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee. The pools were clean and there was always plenty of room and we loved having the space to spend time dining and visiting on our patios with our group. The lobby area had comfortable spaces for gathering and having drinks & snacks. It was very quiet, despite seeing many families with small children on the property. We didn't hear slamming doors, loud voices, or running in the hallways (or from the pool area) at night. Every staff member went above and beyond to take extra-care of our elderly traveling companions, which offered such peace of mind to our group. We highly recommend and will definitely be returning. We stayed in a sea view 2 bedroom apartment which was fantastic with washing machine which we really needed. Partial sea view which was lovely. Location was excellent! Close to the beach which we visited however not warm enough to swim for me. Too cold to use the pool however we swam in the heated pool which was great.

Having a dryer would be helpful as difficult to get clothes to dry as weather was cooler than expected. Probably not an issue in Summer.

The resort is gorgeous, the staff is welcoming and always available to answer any questions, the facilities are all well-kept and the views are exceptional. The apartments were spacious and beautiful with great outdoor spaces to enjoy the breeze and sunsets.

We selected the half-board option to include dinner each evening. The food was good and the service was friendly, but the options were limited to a fixed menu (three choices in each category) and sometimes did not meet the expectations of our guests as we had assumed it would be a buffet. The dinners took an average of 2 1/2 hours each night for all three courses to be served which might be customary (we should slow down & enjoy our meals certainly!) but we did not expect that so it disrupted the evening plans of some in the group. The regular menu in the hotel's restaurant had great selections and all the food was good. I would definitely return but would likely opt for dining off the full menu. The breakfast buffet and options were outstanding!
