The Blue House, Oldest Guest House

hotel is located very much interior. It is old building having rooms init has rooms with different facilities. Ensure you get the room you have booked. Oterwise you may get a different one with no amenities 4 floors and no lift is available.

I was a little hesitant to stay at a guest house vs a hotel but Maneesh and his dad made our stay so enjoyable that we returned there when we had a one day layover. If you are going to stay at the Blue house and are looking at doing some sight seeing let Maneesh know how much time you have and what you want to do. He has been doing this all of his life and will know exactly how to arrange your times and schedule to make the most of your stay. Maneesh and his dad did an excellent job of taking care of us and making the most of our time in Jodhpur.

This guest house is a wonderful oasis to return to after seeing the sights of Jodhpur. Access to the fort is quick by rickshaw. The market is a 5 minute walk away. The rooftop restaurant has amazing views and is a nice quiet place to recharge after navigating the streets of the old city. I was in India for three weeks and the time I spent here was my favorite.

This is a family run hotel which was good value, very comfortable and they were really helpful and welcoming. It's in the centre of the town within easy access to the market, station and buses. The restaurant is first class which looks out over the town and towards the fort. A very enjoyable stay.

The Blue house is really blue ( literally ). It is an old haveli converted to a hotel. The rooms are large and spacious. Nicely decorated with antique furniture and paintings. The family that runs the hotel is very friendly. At night this place turns very interesting. All the lights and walls of the corridors are blue creating a unique experience. Roof-top restaurant has stunning views of the Mehrangarh fort and serves good food. Just chill at the restaurant at the evening with a beer and enjoy. The hotel is locate right in the heart of the main tourist area and Clock Tower is 5 mins walk. This place can be a little hard to find. The price of rooms is very reasonable. Good value for money.

Accommodating host is very easy to talk to. Nicely decorated place with neat atmosphere and ambiance. Hot water on demand is always a plus in India and they have individual electric water heaters in each room. Laundry is reasonably priced. The rooftop restaurant has good food and an incredible view of the fort.

I got the room all the way up nice view the kids in the restaurant were great food was good but be carefully safaris and tour avoid buying item at the widow factory because it is scam . Do the research . The owner took care of the business even though he charge double and made commission on the shopping we did. The only good thing about this trip was the food. Early morning there is a pray somewhere in the block that will wake you up . It worth the money.

The hotel is in a congested, dirty and dark but convenient and interesting part of the city. We were met at the train station late at night and taken to the hotel which was most helpful. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful from the moment we arrived. The view from the rooftop restaurant was an amazing panorama of the fort but the rooms themselves can be a little boxy. You may need to walk up 70 stairs for some rooms so travel light! Be prepared for the early morning call to prayer from the nearby mosques. The restaurant has wonderful staff who are polite and interested and enjoy having a chat with you. The food was tasty and very reasonably priced. The family who run the hotel are lovely people who want to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. A highly recommended place to stay.

No sheets or towel available on arrival in the room; I had to search for them myself. I located a towel on the second day. Despite advertising "sound proof rooms" - actually the noise (TV, telephone, conversation) from the hotel family living on the ground floor was very loud in my room. (The rooms above my 1st floor room higher up in the guest house may well be quieter). Dripping tap in the shower room eventually would quickly fill a bucket and overflow making the shower room floor wet. The shower did have hot water which was a pleasant surprise. Friendly owner and staff, but slightly unreliable - e.g. no sheets, and failed to book my airport taxi at the time I requested - so I ended up balancing my suitcase and bag as a motorcycle pillion passenger into town with an alternate car . The 500rp "taxi" guest house charge was overpriced for the shabby cars that they sent on both occasions, and both taxi journeys did not actually deliver/pick me up close to the guest house - since the narrow lane and one-way system is not easy for cars to navigate. Slightly disappointing experience - there are plenty of alternatives places to stay in Jodhpur. But rooms at higher floors in this guest house may well be more comfortable and better serviced. Roof top restaurant (with wifi) is pleasant enough.

Nice place and pleasant staff. Stayed in deluxe room which is higher up. The roof top restaurant was delicious.
