Hardwick Arms Hotel

Location was absolutely perfect for the Hardwick Festival, a short walk across the field with excellent directions provided by reception. Our room was exactly as I expected it to be given the reviews we had read in advance of arrival. A little tired with no frills (randomly there was a fridge but it wasn't plugged in). Water and biscuits, tea and coffee making facilities provided. We received a really warm welcome on arrival, had some fabulous food (chicken parmo the size of my head!) in the pub before checking in, nice space to sit outside with lots of on site free parking. The bed was really comfortable, the pillows not so much but we were only there for one night so it was absolutely fine. The toilets are noisy as described in other reviews but with ear plugs in, I wasn't disturbed at any point by other users. Slight smell of drains at one point but it was only for a short while. Decor could do with a bit of a touch up but it's an old building...... MASSIVE cooked breakfast served along with a small selection of cereal, yogurts and bread for toasting.

The room was ridiculously hot - provision of a fan would be good Pillows as mentioned but that is personal choice Brown towels in bathroom didn't look great but they were clean so cannot really complain A little tired overall but I would use again for a one night stay for the festival

Location. Our room 8 had the shower break down. Plumber not arriving until next day when we will be gone. To their credit the Hotel moved us to a beautiful suite for our last night. Don`t think they had an option as no other rooms free.

A little dated with room a bit musty. Staff so so, bbut not really bothered.

Excellent pub with rooms to let. Everything you need in one place - beer, good food, music, comfy beds. Definitely recommended!

Good spot in centre of town, even so, good night's sleep. No food, no kitchen on that night but Italian restaurant next door was good. No WIFI, not great signal. Good shower, comfy bed. Continental style self serve breakfast, basic but well catered for. Room is clean, we laid out, quite spacious.

Wi-Fi not good but it is 2 floors. No cooked breakfast. Good accommodation in town but nowhere to work in the room, no desk.
