The Sandalwood Hotel

Lovely hotel, the flat was ideal for our needs near to tram stops and onload car parking. The host was very pleasant and attentive to our needs.

There are no major issues with anything during our stay.

Fantastic location, super clean and spacious room , bonus got two rooms ,had a restful sleep and lovely stay ☺️

On arrival my partner got giving a lecturer of what we can and cannot do. Our friend from a different hotel stopped by and the owner gave me a lecture about asking permission before having a guest. I informed him that he was just going to get us breakfast and was told there would be no cooked meals in the hotel. Arriving back on the second night I noticed Dogs barking ( i have extremely bad asthma and im allergic to dogs, I was not told and it was not disclosed on booking that the owner has two dogs downstairs. This was a extremely clear heath and safety risk and in all honesty could of been a health risk for me) at checking out 5 past the check in time the owner repeatedly was knocking on the door telling us to get out. When we left he was stood outside our door and sarcastically said finally I then asked about the dogs and informed him what it could of done to my health. The owner then asked if we had been smoking in the room as the window was open all night 1. I find it incredibly creepy that he was constantly looking at our window 2. It was a small and stuffy room and 3. my partner doesn't smoke and I dont smoke around my partner. He then told me we was banned after I told him about the dogs and I would be reporting it. The owner had absolutely no people skills and I am not happy that I paid £100 to potentially put my health at risk and to be treated and spoken to like a child. I would discourage anyone to stay at this prison. I have stopped at much better hotels and a smaller cost with a better location in Blackpool as we often come for short weekends away and I have never been spoken down to and been told so many rules that are not stated on the booking today. I had a few choice words for the owner when we left as I was no longer prepared to be spoken to like a child. If it was stated before I handed my money over that no food was allowed, no visitors and the hotel had dogs i would not of handed that man a pound.

Lovely welcome.friendly host and good location as it was on road free parking. Comfy room and very comfortable bed.had 2 nice nights here. Will be back .Thanks Mark.

Hosts Mark and Monica are very friendly. Hotel is clean. Comfy bed, adequate-sized room which served the purpose it was intended for i.e. sleeping, showering, changing. Quiet location not too far from amenities and transport.

Lacks private parking, but plenty of parking spaces can be found within 100m of the hotel
