The Sandalwood Hotel

Mark and Monica, the owners, were really nice and took the time to have a conversation. We booked one of the flats on the top floor. It was better than expected and spotlessly clean. The surrounding area is very quiet but only a minutes walk away from the trams or busses or a 20 minute walk to the centre. We will definitely book here for future trips and recommend to our family and friends.

The location was perfect, just far enough out from the main busy area but close to a tram stop, and the accommodation was great. Our room was split into 2 with a double bed and sink on one side and a larger double bed with a sofa and chair on the other, as well as tea and coffee making facilities. It was spacious enough for 3 of us although the bathroom was a bit small. The room and beds were clean and comfortable and were perfect for a 2 night stay. Mark and Monica were lovely hosts who made us feel very welcome.

The shower wasn't great with hardly any pressure and the heat control had been fixed so you couldn't turn it up. Anyone with long ,thick hair would struggle to rinse the shampoo out. The hairdryer needs to be moved closer to the left as the lead was too short to be able to hold comfortably and see in the mirror while styling hair. In the description of the hotel, it says that parking is available nearby and the wording suggests that it isn't a problem; unfortunately it is. It is on street parking which is the same for all the properties in the area so it's very much the early arrival gets the space. We had to unload the car then go find parking, luckily we didn't use the car once there, so kept our spot.

Couldn't fault it, check in was easy, the room was spotless and Mark and Monica were excellent hosts, very friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of places to eat nearby aswell as a co-op up the street, it is well situated for all of the town's main attractions and is a 2 minute walk from the promenade and Gynn Square with trams every 10 minutes towards the north station and town centre. It's a great little hotel and I will definitely be returning if I visit Blackpool again.

The location was great and the hotel was lovely and clean and nice comfortable bed, mark and monica are very welcoming.would recommend this hotel if staying in Blackpool.

Lovely accommodation spotlessly clean,comfortable bed great location 2 minute walk to tram stop. On arrival Mark showed us to room and explain everything great host will definitely stay again and will recommend.
