The Sandalwood Hotel

Greeted by the very friendly Mark who showed us up to our extremely clean room. Very comfortable with a nice shower.

The hot tap in the bathroom wasn't very hot but that's an extremely minor niggle.

I travelled by myself, visiting my nephews, running the half and seeing friends. It was a nice little getaway for the weekend. Mark and Monica were very friendly and very welcoming hosts, both were more than happy to help with anything. The room was cosy and the bed was comfortable, very clean room and ensuite, lovely and homely. Tea and coffee facilities in the room, topped up daily. I didn't book or eat the breakfast here mainly because I was out and about, it was no reflection what so ever on the Sandalwood. Check-in and check out were very straight forward. The hotel is situated just of the North Promenade, I parked on the road next The Grand maybe 100m walk. Nearest tram stop was Wilton Parade about a 5 minute walk. I would definitely recommend and would stay again! Thank you.

the owners were super nice and friendly, good value, located just about 15-20 mins walk to the centre, which suits me for the peace and quiet. The internet was nice and quick, there was basic daily housekeeping which to be fair they didn't need to offer at this type of price but it was nice that they did. I would recommend people here, and I would also use again.

It was really cold in the room on the first night so i didn't sleep very well, but it was also really cold outside the first night though, the second day and night it was not too cold. The single bed mattress has definitely seen better days, you can feel all the bed springs(Not terrible but they are noticeable), as someone who works in hotels that is a sure sign that the mattress is no longer useful, a mattress topper or foam top would alleviate this over the winter until a replacement can be got.

We were greeted from the friendly hosts who were always on hand if you needed anything and advise on places to go ,we got parked just along the street .Bed was extremely comfortable and warm and the room had everything needed and was immaculately clean.It was in a nice area with shops nearby and only one street away from the promenade ,we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
