Old Sun Inn

Good size, well appointed, bathroom. Good size room with comfortable bed and USB sockets. Decent breakfast.

Overdone bacon.

The location is just a minute walk outside of town, the staff are professional and warm, the food was delicious (breakfast and dinner), and there is a free carpark. The room had everything we needed, (bathroom, comfy bed, bedside lockers, a seating/tv area, dressing table, solid door and lock, view towards the parsonage). The place was spotless, and even though it was a pub below the room, it closed early enough so it was quite during the night.

It did not affect us, but it's worth knowing that all rooms are upstairs, which is a short flight but a little steep, so that might be a consideration for those with mobility concerns.

Lovely spacious room and shower room .Little touches such as Bathrobes, yorkshire tea , reed diffusers, floor lamp make it feel homely and welcoming. Every staff member we met over our 3 days stay were really friendly and attentive. One of the best cooked breakfasts we've had at a b&b.

Some noise could be heard from the inn downstairs (until closing time, which varied) could bother some wanting an early night though it didn't bother us.

Lovely, warm and friendly pub hotel. The rooms was very comfortable and well appointed and exceptionally clean. We had a really warm welcome on arrival from Hannah and had our evening meal in the pub, which was great. Enjoyed our stay very much.
