Hotel Muisca

I we pile have liked getting larger towels and when I asked for an extra getting it instead of taking g the one I had away. The water pressure was a bit too weak. They can improve the room lighting

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! Old hotel. I would consider this place as a hostel. I booked for 3 nights but we had to leave after 1 nite. The room was so cold and no heater in the low 30 degrees! The hotel told us they ran out of blankets. We were unable to sleep due to shivering and loud noises. We could hear every conversation next door and even below us clearly. Horrible experience!

I booked Hotel Muisca for four nights but changed hotels after two nights. Hotel Muisca is located in La Candelaria but I found the location to be a bit isolated and sketchy and too far from Plaza Bolívar and restaurants. It is also at the top of an extremely steep hill, making walking to and from the hotel onerous. The staff was perfectly friendly. The heater in my room was broken the first night and a portable heater was brought in for the second night. It gets chilly at night in Bogota. Just as a matter of personal preference, the hotel was not for me.

Very unique property, accommodating/helpful hosts, lots of cute little common areas to hang out and full of character! Good location. Would stay here again!

This beautiful hotel is located in a 200 year old home and the views from the roof will take your breath away. Rooms are clean and well-appointed with plenty of hot water. Staff are very helpful, and breakfast is made to your specifications every morning. It is at the top of a steep hill, so if you aren't used to walking (or the altitude) you will find yourself out of breath. However, it is a short walk downhill to most of La Candelaria. Thank you Carlos, Andy and the rest of the staff for making our first trip to Bogota the best!

The place is adorable! They have thought of everything and the staff is so helpful!

The hotel is clean and comfortable. Free breakfast was good. The location is good and convenient to access Candelaria hot spots. It's up the hill a couple of blocks, which is fine for us, but may not be ideal if you have accessibility challenges.

Wonderful! Very attentive to our needs. We stayed here for 1 week with another family. The staff took excellent care of us, and helped us in many ways. They helped make local calls, found us transportation, they would bring us hot waterbottles warmed up each night to sleep with, and they had several breakfast choices. Be sure to check out the 'social room' upstairs. They delievered us drinks up there while we all relaxed and listened to music. Be aware that Bogota is cool. The rooms have 'heat' but you will want warm pajamas and a jacket. Breakfast is served on the patio so it can be chilly. We did need to take medication for high Elevation while in Bogota. It is 8000 feet up. My 15 yr old daughter got naseau,headache, and was greatly helped by the medicine. The street this hotel is on is one of the best of La Candelaria but everything was under construction (June 2018) so we couldnt get great pictures of the colonial buildings. The area looks questionable but we were fine in the hotel. This hotel has info on all the indiginous peoples of Colombia (La Musica) and would be an anthropologists dream with the informative signs Excellent attention to detail and decorating. A 5 star experience

Despite our flight arriving very late we were welcomed wth friendly smiles. Breakfasts were great, hotel an interesting old building in a good location at the edge of La Candelaria.
