UI Inn

its ok if you just stay for 1 or 2 nights, the staff are friendly and helpful. there is no AC in living room and the no water in the kitchen during my stay.

The UI hotel is closeby and convenient. Dedicated staff, from the pick ups, check-ins and outs, and the politeness of workers.

This hotel is adequate for 1 thing - overnight stay before your final destination. The surrounding area is a little suspect, the room was hot, the bed uncomfortable, and the "breakfast" unappetizing. However, the pick-up service from the airport and to Trans Maldivian was great, and the customer service was pleasant as well. If I ever return to the Maldives and need to stay overnight on the cheap, this would be my place. But, I wouldn't plan a vacation around a stay there.

It's a home converted "hotel". We checked in late at night, planned to catch a flight for Maldives the following morning. After paying for the rooms, the "hotel" sent us to another "hotel" which they said is located in a newer building owned by the same owner just a few blocks away. There was a big cockroach in the shower and my son screamed for help when he was taking the shower. UI Inn is supposed to provide us with transportation to the seaplane dock the next morning. We paid for the transportation and the driver was over 45 minutes late. We called again and again and we think UI Inn might have forgotten to inform the driver after we switched to this other hotel. We almost missed our flights.

The hotel was fine and the staff was nice. I made the mistake of taking the boat to Male before realizing that it is on the same island as the airport. I managed to take a ferry back very close to the hotel. BEWARE: they charged me a ridiculous fee of $50 dollars US plus a 14% surcharge ( for using a credit card) for taking me back and forth to the ferry which was less than a mile away.

all the personnel was very kind, the manager is a great person, very good food at the hotel.

the place is really too cramp for comfort, especially the bathroom. Another thing is, the choices for breakfast is really limited. A lot of improvements required.

The room was very basic, but then the price was really cheap. Staff were really friendly. Its not the sort of place you would want to spend the entire day in! I stayed here as I was going scuba diving, and they are 5 mins walk to the nearest dive club.

The staff at UInn are simply wonderful. There isn't anything they won't do for you if they can. We were there for my birthday. They cooked the tuna we caught that day for dinner, served it on the rooftop and added a homemade birthday cake to top everything off! We were well cared for. The hotel is typically for transfer guests, those moving on to other islands, but the trick is if you stay in Hulamale, you can experience everything Maldives and more local, island life for a fraction of the price. Don't expect anything too fancy with the rooms but it doesn't matter, you're never in it! Go see the fishes in the sea!!

We stayed for 1 night as we arrived about 11pm at Male airport after travelling from Sydney via Singapore. It is close to the airport, where we had to return to early the next morning to get the ferry to our resort island. It was a lot cheaper than paying another night at the resort rates.
