Hotel Diplomat

Our trip to Georgia was in October 2018, 10 days total of which 5 was spent in Tbilisi. We were booked at the Hotel Diplomat, old part of town. Merab, the front desk manager greeted us by the car when we arrived, so welcoming and supportive that we immediately felt at home. Between him, Bella and Nina, we made new family and friends for life. What an excellent experience

The service staff is very accondatung especially for those travelers on business. I am a returning visitor because of great little things the friendly staff do for me . For instance they are English fluebt and help with Tranlaltion and handlung of cabs.also bag handling. They are fkexible on early check i and consider my room preferences. They suggest the best local cafes and restaurants. They welcome me by name. There is a mini bar in the room and theurooms are nicely sized all have AC, bedding is well above average and comfortable.And good WiFi.

We stayed in August 2018 It is a small decent hotel neat and clean Check in was smooth but intially had problems with the air condition ,in room assigned to us. Ms Nina was very kind enough to change the room for us. She was very helpful Would like to mention about Mr. Mehrab who was also very helpful and supporting during our stay Breakfast was decent but it would be great if they could label the items so it is easy to identify for vegetarians Over all our experience was good and service was excellent We would highly recommend this hotel

We picked this hotel at first because of the lack of availability in other hotels in more crowded areas. And it was the best choice. The hotel is only 5 minutes away from Freedom Square, and almost all buses that passes right next to the hotel can reach the square. There is a small mini market next to the hotel as well as the possibility of ordering food immediately to the hotel. Therefore, the location was not a problem at all, especially that the hotel is in such a peaceful location, with a great view to the surroundings and very close to the old city. As for the rooms, they were very clean, spacious and comfortable. We had a small balcony that was very relaxing but beware of some flies in the evenings. The breakfast was simple but delicious, and there is something for everyone: eggs, cheese, butter, sausages and much more. But the most important thing that made our stay worthwhile is definitely the staff! Super friendly, super helpful, ask them anything and they'll help out. Expect random funny stories and to regret leaving this place. Nina, Merhab and the whole staff were simply awesome and made us feel like we are at home!

The hotel is very clean. The breakfast is great. The staff are the best part of the experience where you feel like you are at home. BIG thank you to Michel who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Also, Merheb and Nina were more than nice and willing to help whenever we needed anything. Great stay all in all.

We’ve been to Tbilisi on August 2018 and we stayed at Diplomate hotel for one week. A very good choice, very cozy as you feel at home. Clean and always very helpfull. The front office manager was very cute and has many ideas on how to enjoy our stay and visit lovely places in Georgia. Good location, you can visit old Tbilisi by walking from the hotel. No need for a taxi. Reserve and enjoy.

No morning call was delivered even it promised before. Further more expected taxi was not arranged for airport and there's no one at the front desk when I need to check out and to call a taxi. It was terrible experience that ever happened

The reception was great.The room service is also great. The stay was very peaceful and cozy.The breakfast is great too. I would definitely suggest this hotel to anyone looking for a good place to stay.

Every thing was fine reception staff were very helpful special thanks to merab nina and misho and the hotel in general very clean location quiet 15 min walking from freedom square and prices are really good

location wise its good, a short walk tothe freedom square. the windows and balconies open to other houses and hotel room which are very close to each other. we didnt get a receipt on check out and was asked topay by cash. credit card they wanted to charge 20%extra we had to pay for the room service on the same day which was unusual. service was not good, had to ask for things several times before we got them in the room .breakfast was just ok .
