"Amazing"

These traditional houses are amazing and walk back in time to a simpler life yet very comfortable. Situated in a tiny village high in the hills behind Iraklion yet only 20 minutes drive into the city. We had a lovely time and stayed for 3 days.

"Very lovely and unique experience"

Traditional Cretan Houses was by far the most unique accommodation that we experienced during our time in Greece. The homes are beautifully restored and it felt like a very athentic experience in a local village. Miss Poppy was wonderful, warm and extremely helpful. She really went the extra mile, especially in getting us settled with a very late arrival. The biggest challenge was location, as the homes are a bit outside of the main town and our GPS did not work very well. But once we got oriented, the location was actually very serene and picturesque. Recommend very highly!!

"Cretan village life at it's best"

We had a very long journey to Crete thanks to an airport shutdown but couldn't have been happier when we finally arrived in the dark and rain. The property is in a lovely little mountain village (really the best one we saw on the island) on a ridge with views in all directions. It's stunning! The house is a perfect place to relax and is centrally located to so many places - Heraklion, Matala, ruins, etc. Everything you need is close by - market, post office, pharmacy, taverna..... And the house is picture perfect! It's very old, fully restored and tastefully decorated. The owner takes very good care of you and if you're lucky, may even cook up something delicious! ;)

"Superb"

It was the best accommodation experience in our 2 week stay in Greece. We had a 3 storey house with 2 bedrooms and 2 toilets, beautifully decorated living room, kitchen and laundry facilities for only 45 euros a night. That was definitely a bargain and a great very special experience. The lady who runs the place was extremely helpful. The house is located in a wonderful small village where things are based on trust and it has a great atmosphere. There is a nice restaurant with a beautiful view over Iraklio serving delicious and cheap! food in the evenings. It was a superb experience and it was a pity we only stayed there for 1 night. I would definitely recommend it to everyone and would definitely go back! Try it and you won't regret it.
