Hotel Jerbourg

Helpful staff, lovely breakfasts, lovely setting. Very good hotel. Good afternoon tea!

Sadly overall we were disappointed with our stay. Didn't get a warm reception on arrival and had to wait until after 14:30 to get in to our room apparently delayed because the previous guest had left their luggage in the room and had gone out or the day. The hotel, the location and facility were good but we felt, that with one notable exception (sadly we didn't get her name but she seemed to be working all the time), most of the staff weren't welcoming or particularly friendly. The same breakfast was on offer day after day with no other options available and because it was a buffet style the eggs were always over-cooked as were most of the other hot options. The evening meals, wine and bar drinks we felt were very expensive and the service didn't match the high prices being charged. All in all it didn't feel like anyone was overseeing operations and we just felt anonymous and almost unwelcome even though we were there 5 days unlike the very warm welcome and excellent food and service we received at an equally beautiful restaurant just down the road. This place has the making of a great place but is really missing a welcoming and friendly touch we feel.

Stayed for four days. Very helpful staff. Room had stunning sea views. Hotel clean and comfortable. Food excellent. Great base for cliff top walks.

the worse part of the holiday was the consant caned music played allday and the consant flow of customers to the coffee shop and resrtaurant as this was in the hotel guest loung , the banging of the coffee grouts and the hissing of the coffee machine was very disturbing a consant stream of mothers and babys staying hours on end crying and screamning if we told this at time of booking would not have booked it

Nice hotel and position. Very friendly, helpful staff. Minor bug bears such as no coat hooks in bathroom, small tv on fixed bracket. Could do with it on swing/extension arm. Windows need cleaning inside/out especially in restaurant as children hand prints on window all week. Defo recommended and would go back.

We have visited this hotel before and very much enjoyed it there as we did this time.

This was our third stay at the Jerbourg in Guernsey and it has never disappointed. Hotel is beautifully situated on the south coast cliffs overlooking Herm and Sark. Good for watching the yachts and sailing boats leaving and arriving in guernsey. Superb cliff walks from the door in both directions to numerous little beaches with kiosks for excellent refreshments. Hotel itself has a fabulous coffee shop with the most amazing home made cakes too numerous to go into detail about. Think the room this time was a budget room as on previous stays our room was standard but had a small fridge, which on this visit we did not have. Breakfast was a buffet of hot and cold selections, very good on the whole but as with buffet style food sometimes things like bacon and hash browns have been sitting to long and are a little dry and chewy. Hotel staff very attentive and helpful, cleanliness of rooms good. Had a sea view from our room. Overall very happy with our holiday, only problem was an overnight delay getting there which meant a night spent at airport hotel here in uk, meaning we had a six night holiday instead of seven and a long coach trip to bristol the next day for a flight to guernsey (very frustrating).

It was overall a lovely hotel and I would want to go there again The conditions were excellent and the only issue was communication.my newspaper was left in reception but I was not told and did not collect them. Also the service in the restaurant was slow and we were not told that desert was not served at the dinner table. The food was fabulous and we had a wonderful time

All members of staff were extremely polite, helpful and cheerful. They could not do enough for us. The hotel was perfect for our needs. Our room was very clean and comfortable - tea and coffee making facilities were fully stocked. We ate in the restaurant twice and the meals were extremely good, piping hot and good portions. We would definitely stay at the Hotel Jerboug again.
