Hotel Jerbourg

Good hotel in lovely remote location-we were very glad we hired a car although there is a busstop outside it take 40 mins to St Peter Port. However disappointed not to get a balcony. The shower/bath didnt work properly on 1st day and bathroom light flickered badly-informed receptionist and chap came to fix it following day although neither problem fully went away. The soundproofing in room was poor-could hear next door in the shower and talking-also there were lots of doors slamming late at night. One night it was extremely windy and you could hear things banging about in the roof which was quite disconcerting! The staff were all very nice and polite the only problem was there simply were not enough of them-glasses etc werent cleared and washed up and there was a lot of waiting around for drinks etc to arrive.. On checking in we were told there was only 1 table left in the restaurant which we had which meant the other couple booking in behind us had to go elsewhere-it seemed odd that there wasnt enough capacity for all hotel guests and yet non patrons were able to come in and eat which seems a little unfair especially as there is only 1 other eatery nearby. It seemed as though residents were not priority. It was also discovered it would have been much cheaper to book the hotel directly rather than through Expedia-we paid more than £100 more. However we were delighted to have such a fab seaview and the breakfasts were great-also the cakes they serve are yummy-!

This has to be one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in, from the moment we arrived to the minute we left the staff were amazing, courteous and very helpful. We had a room upgrade to one overlooking the pool and views of Jersey. The hotel is very clean and the decor and style is very modern and comfortable. The room was comfortable clean and very quiet. The breakfast was amazing! The food in the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. The cakes, well they are definitely the best on the Island by far. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were cleaned and tidied to an excellent standard. The pool is admittedly a little cold but seeing it's not a heated pool was still refreshing to have a swim in every day. We liked this hotel we are returning next Easter! Thanks for an amazing relaxing welcoming time.

Stayed for 3 nights in the Belvoir suite. Lovely big balcony and sea views. The hotel staff were very welcoming. We were on the second floor, please be aware that there is no lift. The suite was very nice, but a little tired in places, window blinds broken in lounge area. Basic toiletries provided, but no bath robes or slippers. Breakfast was really tasty and buffet style so could eat as much as you liked. A good choice of cereals, cooked breakfast, croissants and pastries. Please note we were woken at 7am on the Tuesday morning by a yoga class on the lawn outside our window! Overall a nice relaxing stay, but not luxury.

The staff were very polite and helpful ,we would stay again .You don't need a car as there is a very good bus service from outside the hotel. Lovely pool but could have been cleaner . Food was excellent ,there is a large selection of desserts and cakes which are amazing to see and eat .

Super hotel, great location. Within easy reach of St Peter Port and the airport. Staff are extremely helpful and nothing is any problem. The only downside is the english buffet breakfast not being cooked to order, which does mean it is not as hot as it could be.

The fabulous location of this hotel is complemented by their hard working and very friendly staff.

We stayed for a week in June and were looked after extremely well. The hotel is relatively small but very well maintained and clean and comfortable. The coffee shop and evening restaurant are excellent, the food and desserts were first class. The outside area is clean and tidy and the pool is a reasonable size, unfortunately the weather during our stay meant we couldn't use it much but my husband braved the pool once! We treated ourselves to the suite and it's got a generous bedroom and bathroom and a large living area with big furnished balcony - a great space to relax in after a day sightseeing.

Very comfortable stay. Would have liked air conditioning as there was only one opening window, but we did arrive on the hottest weekend of the year and we probably would have been given a fan by the hotel if we'd asked. The hotel has a great location overlooking the sea with wonderful views. Lovely outdoor pool. Would have liked option to have breakfast outside on the terrace as it was so hot, but when we asked if we could do that we were made to feel that it's not something that's encouraged and were made to feel bad for asking. As an afterthought we were told 'you can If you want to' but by then, we decided that we didn't want to trouble them! It seemed too much trouble for the staff member. That was a shame. Other than that, we had a lovely time and would go there again
