Staying here is like stepping back in time to the opulence of a bygone era. The Blue Mansion’s dedicated staff are attentive but not intrusive. The hotel is heritage listed so has a few “quirks” which you won’t mind overlooking. The daily history tour is fascinating. And the degustation dinner at The Indigo Restaurant is excellent.

The breakfast was good, the bathroom design was excellent, and the breakfast hall had a unique, futuristic atmosphere.

However, the room for three people needs improvement. There were mosquitoes in the room, and the air conditioner was positioned directly above the bed and was quite noisy throughout the night, which affected our sleep quality. The swimming pool area would benefit from enhancements to the surrounding landscaping and decorative elements.
