"Budget hotel for those that don't want flashy."

6.0

It was a basic hotel that had everything you needed; A/c, fridge, TV with Foxtel, kettle, Bali coffee, tea, sugar, (no milk was available though) complimentary water bottle per day, extra towels, if you requested it. Night staff member Stanley was very happy to help with requests and had a lovely friendly personality. Day staff was not very good with English so I avoided organising anything with her and preferred to wait for Stanley to be back on. Was a bit put off when we first arrived to find a towel with a big hole in it, however extra towels requested were of better condition. Cleaning was passable on arrival. Room was not re-cleaned in the 5 days we were there. (Not sure if we needed to request it but we didn't mind as we were hardly there). Ensuite was quite small but again good enough to serve it's purpose. Great hotel if you're looking for something cheap to use for showering and sleeping, and plan to be out exploring Bali most of your days. A restaurant was being built while I was there and was going to be ready about 2 weeks after I left. This would improve things as you would then have an option to have breakfast there instead of going out to find somewhere to eat. Also, WiFi was available but as with most of Bali was a weak connection and I found it was stronger if I stood near my door. It was enough though to keep me connected to family and friends back home through facebook. We were able to walk everywhere in Kuta from there too.

"Guesthouse Matahari"

6.0

Within 5 minutes walk to Matahari Supermarket and Kuta Square. Within 10 minutes walk to Kuta Art Market and Kuta Beach. Within 15 minutes walk to Hard Rock Cafe. English of Staffs were not good so we had a hard time communicating.

"ok, hotel close to the beach and shopping mall"

4.0

The staff were all very polite. My only real problem i had with the hotel was the bedding. The pillows, duvets etc had a horroble smell to them and where all heavily stained.

"No Frills Accomodation"

6.0

It was below average consider value for the money charged. Location is great and convenient - which is a plus! Everything is "self-serve" make every request from cleaning the room to complimentary bottle water. 3rd bed was just a mattress on the floor, which is quite dirty and black. Would stay again for ONLY budget /cheap traveling with 2 guests but not three in group. Staff was friendly but language is a big thing - They can serve you better if you could use some local words. Wifi is really slow and drop off frequently.

"A cheap place to sleep at night"

4.0

They advertised as Wi-Fi available in all rooms. But no Wi-Fi signal in any of the rooms. Wi-Fi signal is available only in the lobby. But only two chairs are in the lobby which would be always occupied by the hotel staff and no place for customers to sit and use internet. Location is not bad and everything is in walking distance. Overall it is a cheap place and you will get for what you pay.

"Very cheap Homestay, you get what you pay for"

6.0

Stayed there two nights when in Kuta during a recent trip. While the service is a bit amateur-ish, it is still very friendly. On the same notes, the rooms could be better-equipped and a tad cleaner, but you're not staying at or paying for 5-star hotel. All in all I was happy about my stay.
