Cooinda Lodge Kakadu

Clean and friendly

Cooinda Lodge is in a lovely location in Kakadu, but that is ruined by the generator right alongside the glamping tent area that runs 24/7. Cleanliness was a bit hit and miss and some of the restaurant staff need training in customer service. The guy in the shop was friendly and helpful though.

The location was really good, lovely & quiet. The restaurant was very overpriced, the bathroom & towel weren’t clean & the bathroom in desperate need of a scrub.

Great place to stay. Room was very nice. Pool was great on a hot summer day. Food was good but overpriced

Small room for 4 ppl. Lack of room service. Food options very limited. Room amenities not great considering very few food options. Fridge barely stayed cold.

We loved our glamping experience. Was very pleased and surprised to find air-con! I would have stayed much longer if we had the time, but I highly recommend!

What we didnt like was thatvthere was no cuttlery and crockery in the rooms. Thr door shelving of the fridge was taken off as well. We were given access to the kitchen facilities which consisted of a fridge & microwave but no option for cooking meals. Plus it was nestled between the male/feemale toilet blocks and was auite off putting to handle food in there.

Wow! We were pleasantly surprised with Cooinda and disappointed we couldn't stay longer.

Rooms were basic but met needs. However, bathroom was filthy, moldy shower, hair from past guests, just really grubby. I cleaned the shower before we used. Very obviously grubby- pink and black mould growing around edges and tiles. Could be easily resolved but seems no one can be bothered to spend 10 minutes and clean properly. Very off puttting. Unlikely we would return and a shame as we are local NT residents and good for a weekend break. No excuses for lazy cleaners and I would expect better for the price

A very nice property, stayed in one of their units, and would have no issue recommending a stay here. Unfortunately one of the restaurants was closed, but the other, Mimis offered a reasonable selection. Accommodation, neat, tidy and clean, the site presentation is very pleasant. For me the only down side is the exorbitant price they charge for fuel, fully understand, it needs to be a "little" more expensive, but 50 cents a liter dearer than Katherine and Darwin, to me is simply "price gouging". Apart from that, I would have no hesitation in staying again.
