GBWe stayed at tamarind beach bungalows for two nights. The grounds are well kept and the pool clean. However, the rooms and tired and the bathrooms need updating. Our air conditioning didn’t worth neither did the loo or shower and hot water was minimal. The room was crawling with mosquitos and didn’t have a clean feel towards it. The towels were very old and stained.. Yes it’s by a beach but not by a beach you would want to swim in it’s more of a anchorage for locals boats. You either need to hire a scooter or a taxi for the day as places are quite spread out here. I would not return to tamarind beach bungalows.
We stayed in the single suite and the double (family) suite, both were good. Large, clean rooms with great balcony views. Neither suites had a refrigerator however the poolside bar/restaurant was very reasonably priced with a good menu. Staff are very friendly.
Tamarind beach bungalows are really a lovely place to stay and a great value for money. The bungalows are huge and have a great view of the beach. Great location in mushroom bay and I was able to easily walk to nearby restaurants and other activities, including the secret beach! The only critique I would suggest is that perhaps they should consider closing in the roof in the bungalows because critters are able to get in the way it is now. Either that or having proper mosquito nets on the beds that don't have openings st the top.
The hotel upgraded us to one of the best bungalows with a great view of pool and bay. However, the room had tiny lights, couldn't see well at all at night. There were quite a few bugs and bathtub was evidently not being used and filthy. When we first arrived we ate lunch( pizza and a salad). The pizza sauce consisted of ketchup ? and the salad was a huge gob of mayonaise. That was our last meal there in 3 days. Mixed drinks were expensive. Fortunately there some good choices for restaurants close by. The staff was for the most part friendly and helpful. We are not picky about these things and might return another time. The location is good, picturesque and quiet. I would urge the hotel to take care of these things , it could be a great place.
Very un-Indonesian service
AEThis place is very strange. Stunning garden, nice pool, and great location. I think the staff have had to put up with some annoying tourists over the years so are very easily triggered. They'll spend most of their time hanging around the pool on their phones. When you need something they'll sigh and treat you like you're a hassle. At one point i asked for directions to a nearby diving company and they lady almost yelled at me for not knowing the full name of the place. The actual rooms have enormous potential. If they cleaned them up a bit they could charge double. Instead there were stains on the bedding, old raggy towels, dusty cupboards, and huge yellow stain and gunk in the bath. Price is ok though.
The hotel was fine. The service was okay - english was comprehendable from the main woman, but the other staff couldn't answer many questions. When it got busy you had to wait for the main woman to come to talk. The rooms were nice. The area is nice on the beach, but the beach is somewhat un-usable as the tide comes right up to the wall. The pool is nice. The restaurant is okay, we preferred to go somewhere else to eat. Prices are normal for the area.
Nice hotel in a great location. Some components of the room we stayed in were a little tired. No bar fridge, room safe or kettle in the room was the greatest concern raised by the family. However, the view from our balcony was undisturbed across the bay, so it more than made up for any down fall. The staff were really friendly and kid friendly.
A really lovely place to stay with everything you need PLUS very friendly and accommodating staff. A pity we couldn't stay longer and explore Lembongan Island a little bit more:)
Really sweet spot. Bit more quiter than rest of the island. Lovely rooms. Lovely people and service. Amazing pool and very reasonable tasty food. Only thing that's not great is the crowd of tourists who come to the pool around mid morning. Then they leave for activities.
