Hotel Casa Colon

The staff, the upstairs balcony., the architecture. The price.

We really like this place but it should be clear that this is a hotel and not a hostel. I have seen it listed both ways online and had expected to be able to make coffee when I arrived but found out we did not have access to the kitchen. Luckily the staff was excellent and heated water for us and we had our afternoon coffee.

-Built in 1945 as a personal residence. The wooden features were really nice. -The staff were very friendly and helpful. We felt like family. -Location was near the hospitals, central market and the park if you are a walker. (Or take a taxi). -A nice balcony.

Being in the city, Traffic is constant and fast around the clock. If noise bothers you, get a room in the back.

Ik kwam laat aan en voelde me welkom. Heel dicht bij het busstation waar ik heel vroeg in de ochtend moest zijn.

In de buurt alleen een benzinestation waar veel zoetigheid te koop was. En gelukkig ook een appel. Verder niks in de buurt om iets te eten te kopen. Ik was al weg vóór de ontbijttijd.
